For those travelling to us this week please note that in very heavy rain the road alongside the river Taf (from Upper Boat roundabout, passing Treforest Industrial Estate Station) sometimes floods! It’s usually best to avoid this road, either coming to the kennels from Efail Isaf direction or through Gwaelod-Y-Garth

We have just been made aware of a road closure today: the road is closed from the bottom of the hill towards Gwaelod. We’ve not been given a time for re-opening, so customers coming to us this afternoon may need to find alternative routes. The kennels is still accessible coming down the hill and turning left into the kennels, or from Treforest/Upper Boat

Sometimes an email is the best way to reach us to make a booking (emails answered Monday - Friday), as we answer emails in between looking after our guests. We do not have a receptionist so please be patient while we get back to you, as we’re out enjoying the sun in the field with your pets ☀️

There’s been a power cut in our area, the current information is telling us we’ll have power back at 6:30pm tonight

Please be aware the road in front of Treforest train station (from upper boat roundabout) will be closed for two days so an alternative route to the kennels may be needed

You can buy balls from The Gwaelod y Garth Inn to support local causes

P.S - if you’re collecting your dog from the kennels it might be best to avoid coming through Gwaelod in the morning!

We are so excited to share with you the news of our next charity fundraising event.

The Garth Hill Spectacular Ball Race will involve the release of hundreds of numbered balls down the hill towards the famous hairpin bend and across a finish line at the pub.

There will be dozens of prizes to be won. Balls are available to buy from the pub. Our target is to sell 2000 balls and the money raised will be donated across 4 local charities.
