We are temporarily closing over the next few weeks due to some building work on our house but will be taking bookings again shortly.

Muddy has been one of my long term foster pigs. He came into the rescue after losing his friend and it was then discovered he had sore feet. Muddy was sent down to me in Cardiff for rehabilitation and for months, I have given him daily foot massages, daily fleece changes (to keep any moisture away from his feet) and a lot of love!

With his feet finally better, Muddy was ready to find a friend and a retirement home. Last weekend, I bonded him with his new friend and he went home to live with his lovely new owner and his new best friend.

Muddy is such a special pig and whilst we will all miss him dearly, guinea pig companionship is the best gift I could have given him! A reminder that a bereavement does not mean the surviving guinea pig has to spend their remaining life alone.

Our new foster baby boys are incredibly vocal and have absolutely no fear!

These boys are now 5 weeks old and came into Little Wheekers as a result of an accidental pregnancy. Always worth double checking the gender of any new pigs to avoid surprises like this.

Couldn’t resist calling them Claudia & Tess. No need to explain which is which!
