All of our breeding ferrets and kits are registered on feritage. Our ferrets are much loved pets, their wellbeing is the most important to us. We believe our pets are for life so when a ferret is retired from breeding, they are neutered and live out their retired days in their group. Kits are given the best start in life, they are raised on a balanced raw diet. We also introduce them to household
noises and other pets. This helps them to become more confident and less scared of new noises. A little intro on ourselves :)
I was first introduced to ferrets when I was around 11 years old when my dad brought a couple home, from then I absolutely loved them. My husband also found his fondness of ferrets as a child. When we moved in together back in 2008 we came across 2 ferrets in a local market and purchased them, they became our first pets together. Over the years our numbers have slowly been increasing. Back in 2011 we started to go to ferret shows and very quickly got the show bug. We are very proud of our ferrets for winning many rosettes & trophies over the years. In 2013 I took over the running of The Welsh Ferret Club and organise shows with the support of my helpers. I also started judging around this time too, i have been been lucky enough to judge all over the UK and overseas too. We started breeding in 2015, our aim is to produce standard ferrets with healthy bloodlines in their lineage. A lot of standard ferrets don’t have a lineage to follow so we would lineage so that we and owners can follow their heritage back many years. We are based in Cardiff, South Wales, UK
