Of course then “Calla” went on to the Youth Champions of Champions and somehow managed to win it!

Here is some breed information on Sallanders…..

This breed joined us here in June last year where very kindly “Broadoak” started us up with them!
There are very few Breeders and Exhibitors of these, here in the U.K. which is such a shock with them being such a stand out stunning breed!

Here is some breed information on a Mini Lop…..

This breed has been part of the stud ever since I started Rabbits in 2018, I’ve kept various colours over the years but now, I only have the colours of Chocolate Self and Chocolate Otter which we’re improving slowly for the show table.

Hiya all just a bit about me and how I got into rabbits.

Going back to May 2018, I got asked to help out at a Pet Breeders Stud where I simply just helped clean out all of their Bunnies. Sadly she’s no longer Breeding but was a fab Breeder and taught me many things when I first started with the rabbits. As she had an accidental Lionhead cross Dutch litter there at the time she offered me one and went back home and had a think about it and then a few days later there I was off to collect a rabbit. (Ps I don’t think my Mum was too impressed) as at the time I was also breeding tropical fish and shrimps.

A few months passed with just having the one rabbit but when it got to around 7 months old I got offered to breed it up to one of her Bucks so off I went again to mate my pet rabbit that I’ve still got to this day “Annie”.
It did take a few attempts as she kept on missing but finally in the end I did get a litter and it must of been about September time where I had my first litter born. Over the summer though I did a lot of reading up on how to care for Kits etc and then that’s when I got introduced to all the bunny Folk who I cannot thank enough for helping me out so much when I first started as if I didn’t get those good foundations of when I started, I don’t think I would be here where I am today otherwise.
So the litter was Born I believe it was about 6/7 in the litter and all mostly went to friends and family at this time so Iknew they were all going to really good homes. Once that litter went then I just completely fell in love with Rabbit breeding and Rabbits. Of course over the years there has been many ups and downs including a VHD scare, plenty of kits dying etc etc but that’s all part and parcel of breeding!

When I was pet breeding I only had the 2 different breeds. One being the Mini lops and the other being Lionhead’s. When I was pet breeding I had various different colours but mostly was producing Splits, Harlis and Otters. When I was pet breeding I don’t ever think I got over the numbers of around 15 adults at one time… but now here I am with over double that at 36 adults 🤦‍♂️😂 But across the three different breeds that I have here, Mini Lops in Chocolate Self and Otter, Mini Rex in Siamese and Marten Seal and of course my most recent addition towards the middle of this year the Sallanders.
