Morning sketches & hot chocolate = happy start to the day ☺️

I’m sketching more in pen at the moment to try and fight the perfectionism in me. With pen I can’t rub anything else and I start off expecting it to have inaccuracies. I really enjoy the results. Also loving the Sakura pen I’ve been using.

I was hoping to sketch people however I was the only one in the coffee shop. I actually enjoyed the quietness, it such a busy world it made a nice change. A moment of calm 😌

Found this gorgeous mushroom when foraging for my winter wreath. Swipe to see my daily drawing and the rest of my inpso photos. If you are from the area or know Cannock Chase you may recognise the infamous Pye Green tower.

I do love a frosty walk but I’m oh so ready for spring. I saw the first snowdrops fighting their way upwards when Wassailing with my little one. I love snowdrops as they are the first sign spring is coming. Do you feel the same?

Went for a walk around Westport Lake Visitor Centre which is part of the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. Would definitely recommend, great accessibility, flat even ground, cafe, play park for the little ones and lots of birds to spot! We managed to see quite a few.

I'm challenging myself to draw everyday and in pen, so I learn to accept mistakes and just go with the flow. We had a little Coot follow us around the lake for a while, and I've decided they are a new favourite ☺️ Also found some googly type eyes on the trees have a look ➡️

So here's my drawings from the pub after our walk. What do you think, which one do you like?
