Our yearling filly Shiellion has been in her new home three weeks now and seems happy and relaxed with her new 'auntie'

Well the whirlwind that is lambing is very nearly over for another year, the weather has been very kind to us this year prob.the best I can remember in our nearly 40 yrs at Lagalgarve . Now for a pony catch up. The filly Schiehallion is now sold and will be going to her new home later this month . The other big news is that we had our first T.B. x Highland born three weeks ago . A very very very belated new year to everyone . We seem to have missed all the snow and bad weather that I some of you have had ,all we have had is a couple of light overnight frosts and not one single flake of snow ! Oh I do like living by the sea 🥰 .Our filly Scheihallion ,now a yearling as you can see is growing on well, she is still not weaned as mum is not in foal and quite plump, she is very interested in people so I don't think will be a problem at weaning.I will be looking for a new home for her later in the spring prob sooner rather than later as I get more tempted to keep her with every day that passes and I know I can't HELP 🤣 🤣 🤣

A quick update on Schiehallion our filly foal .We have decided that as we only have one foal this year and I love working with and training weanlings , she will be staying with us untill next year when she may be for sale. I have been meaning to show you all this photo since she was born, it is a hippomane and forms in the allatoic sac, it floats freely and comes out with the foal, it is of no harm to the foal and is made up of foal waste products. Do look it up as you will find more info than I can give . I have seen many of these over the years but you do have to be there at the foaling! My glove is alongside for size.

I thought it was about time for a catch up post . here is the lovely Lagalgarve Granuaile and her side kick Dan up in the forest above the farm for the winter . A couple of weeks ago Granuaile ( Grunya to her friends) and I had blood tests and now we have the results, good news all round!!! Grunya is in foal and my cancer antigen levels are low how good is that folks.

I'm not quite sure what is going on I'v just had a message to say if I don't do something or other my page will be blocked ??? I think it is prob. a scam so I will ignore it, If it is a scam and all is o.k. I'll put up some photos of the lovely Lagalgarve Brian who will be at HOYS next week as I'm going to watch him . Today Lagalgarve Hazel and her foal ,Lagalgarve Glen Lussa went to their new home with Anna who already has several Lagalgarve mares , the first photo is of them about to unload and they look a bit surprised to to find they are not at Lagalgarve ! they didn't know there was more to the world, and who stole the sea ? there are no fields at Lagalgarve were you cant see the sea. Anna's mares look interested in the new pair. One c**t foal Lagalgarve Glen Fyne is yet to go and I think he is looking a little lost in these photos but don't worry he still has an aunty to keep him company
