SUPERSTAR PATIENT SHOUT OUT 🥳

Poor Bess is an older girl who sadly developed a fast growing, cancerous mammary tumour in December last year. Within only a few weeks, it had spread, becoming large and painful and affecting multiple areas of her mammary glands.

So in January she came to the clinic for life saving surgery and was a super star, coming through her surgery so well (although with a very impressive scar to show for it.)

With the incredible love and care of her devoted owners, Bess has gone from strength to strength and I’m thrilled to say is loving life and is currently cancer free!

Spring has certainly sprung down here at the farm… more than 150 lambs born in just the last 4 days! So safe to say things are more than a little hectic. But these little faces make the long days all worthwhile! 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑

❤️‍🩹Over the past few weeks, we’ve said goodbye to some very special KVS patients.

Being there at the end of a pet’s life is both the hardest part of my job and a privilege — being trusted to support pets and their families at such an important time.
Caring for animals means sharing not just in their treatment, but in the relationships, stories, and love that surround them.

To honour the pets who’ve been part of our lives and our community, I’ve created a new space on our website called Our Memorial Beach.

This space is open to anyone who would like to share a photo or a few words to remember a pet, whether their loss was recent or many years ago. There’s absolutely no obligation to take part — but for those who would like to, this space is here whenever it feels right.

Poor Pixie had a nasty accident and sadly needed to have her eye removed this week. She was such a superstar patient, staying in ICU to carefully monitor her recovery from surgery and provide her fluids and oxygen whilst she adjusted to life with one eye.
She is doing so well 🥰

So poor Pixie is now a pirate. She's coping extremely well , I cannot thank Louise Millar at Kintyre Vets enough . Pixie is home and running around as if nothing has happened.

💙🌟So proud and incredibly excited to say that Kintyre Veterinary Services has been awarded the Rural Business of the year 2025 at last week’s Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards night!!!🌟💙

I’m still in complete shock, but absolutely over the moon to have won amongst so many incredible Women led businesses from across Scotland. It was a truly inspirational evening, surrounded by more than 200 women from business of all sizes, industries and across all corners of Scotland.

Starting in early 2024 as a preventative healthcare, home visit, vet service; Kintyre Vets has gone from strength to strength and, only 18 months later, we are incredibly excited to provide a full service, fully mobile, two vet, independent practice with comprehensive state of the art equipment and mobile veterinary clinic to animals across Kintyre!

This journey and award wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my dear friend and amazing KVS colleague Stacy, as well as our friends, family and of course the faith placed in us by our fantastic clients and our patients… the four legged KVS crew! 😘🐾

But for now, I just want to say a huge and deeply felt “Thank You” to each and everyone of the people and animals who have been part of making an animal-loving little girl’s dreams come true 💙👩🏻‍⚕️🥂🐾

⭐️⭐️Rural Business of the year Finalist ⭐️ ⭐️ I am beyond shocked and delighted to say that KVS has been shortlisted as 1 of only 5 finalists for The Rural Business of the Year award at this year’s
I can’t thank all my amazing clients, friends and family enough for your support and encouragement this year.
From one vet and her kit bag to the only 24/7 full service mobile practice in Scotland within 18 months… it’s been busy but I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved and incredibly excited for what’s to come! 💙
