Did You Know There’s a Real Dog Behaviour Expert Behind Norman’s?
You probably already know us for our five-star Dog Day Care right here in the village of Over — but did you know our founder, Tamsin-Jane Sewell, is a degree-qualified canine behaviour practitioner?
Yep — that’s the fancy way of saying she’s a real Dog Behaviourist, with the knowledge and experience to back it up.
The truth is, the world of dog training and behaviour advice can be a bit of a minefield. These days, anyone can call themselves a “behaviourist,” even with little or no formal training. Some rely purely on academic theory, while others lean only on years of hands-on experience. The reality? True canine behaviour work combines both — science, skill, and experience built over time.
Tamsin-Jane brings all of that together. With a BA (Hons) in Professional Practice in Canine Behaviour and Psychology and over 15 years of experience in assessing and correcting behaviour, she’s worked with thousands of dogs — from tiny terriers to giant breeds — managing large group environments every day for more than a decade.
So, if your dog:
🐾 Pulls on the lead
🐾 Barks at strangers
🐾 Shows aggression toward other dogs
🐾 Struggles being left alone
🐾 Or just needs a bit of focused training…
…it might be time for a chat with Tamsin-Jane.
As an accredited member of the CFBA (Canine and Feline Behaviour Association) — the professional standard recognised by vets and pet insurers — Tamsin-Jane follows their expert guidelines. That means she’ll start with a formal behaviour assessment, held either at our dedicated indoor/outdoor Behaviour Centre (right next to Norman’s Dog Day Care in Over) or at your home if you’re nearby.
If your vet refers you, she can even work with your pet insurer to process a claim directly (conditions apply).
📞 Get in touch: Call Tamsin-Jane on 07764 959238 during office hours.
If she doesn’t catch your call straight away, just leave a message — she’ll always get back to you within 24 hours.
Because when it comes to understanding your dog, there really is only one Tamsin-Jane.
