🐍 DIRECT REHOME: BCI (Boa constrictor imperator) 🐍
📍 Located - Malvern

We’re helping a kind keeper find a more suitable home for a rescue BCI they recently took in. He was rehomed from Pets4Homes in poor shape, and has since been well fed and cared for — but he’s now showing signs of being vivarium defensive.

Despite the keeper having experience with royals, corns, kings, hognoses, and even a rainbow boa, this particular boy has a temperament that’s proving too challenging for them to continue working with confidently. He hisses and shows defensive behaviours that make cleaning and handling difficult.

🦎 Key Info:
• BCI (Boa constrictor imperator)
• Recently rescued and rehabilitated
• Currently healthy and feeding well
• Showing defensive/viv-protective behaviour
• Needs an experienced, confident keeper
• No immediate urgency — current keeper is happy to house until the right home is found

This gorgeous snake deserves someone with the confidence and experience to continue his progress. If you’re up for a challenge and have the right setup and knowledge, please get in touch.

🚗🐍 COLLECTION ROUTE ANNOUNCEMENT 🐢🦎
All hands on deck! Our volunteer team will be out on the road again this sunday, collecting reptiles in need and ensuring they make it safely to our rescue.

*Sunday 15th June 2025*

🛣️ Route Overview:
This upcoming trip will cover a wide sweep across several towns and cities, so if you’re along the route and need help with a reptile surrender, rehoming, or transport of supplies—now’s the time to get in touch!

🐢 Help Us Reunite Shelly – Missing Tortoise from Blackmore End, Braintree 🐢

We’re posting on behalf of a local family who are still hoping to find their beloved tortoise, Shelly, who went missing from their garden in Blackmore End, Braintree in May 2022.

About four weeks later, a tortoise matching Shelly’s description was found by someone in Wethersfield and taken to Mercer and Hughes Vets in Bocking, Braintree. Sadly, Shelly wasn’t microchipped. The vets confirmed she was fostered for a few months, then passed on to a rescue centre — but unfortunately, no records were kept, and we don’t know which centre.

Shelly is a Mediterranean tortoise with a distinctive damaged area on the top front/right of her shell.

Her family, especially their young son, still miss her dearly and haven’t given up hope. It would mean the world to them to be reunited with her.

🙏🏼 If you’re a rescue centre who may have rehomed her, or if you know anyone who adopted a tortoise around late 2022 from the Braintree/Saffron Walden area, please get in touch.
