Even though I am a student veterinary nurse who is already trained in first aid, the thought of needing to perform it outside of the practice without the support of my veterinary colleagues can be daunting. So I completed the course to perfect my CPR technique, and enable myself to feel more prepared, should an event arise in which I need to perform first aid on your pet.

I would highly recommended this course to any pet owners as you never know when an accident may happen and your quick actions could save a life! Course ran by Dog First Aid West Berkshire and Hampshire

Our critical cat patients rely on brave blood donors. These special felines give the gift of life, helping other cats in need fight serious illnesses and injuries.

Could your cat be a hero? If so, please read on!

Cat blood donors need to:

Be between 1 and 8 years old.
Weigh at least 4kg (but not be overweight).
Have no significant medical history.
Be up-to-date on vaccinations.
Never have received blood transfusion before or had litters of kittens.
Have a calm temperament and handle vet visits well.

We'll perform these FREE health checks to ensure your cat's well-being:

Full clinical examination
Blood pressure measurement
Blood tests for red and white blood cells
Blood tests for kidney and liver function
Tests for certain infectious diseases
Heart scan as donation can unmask occult heart disease
