🐀 FOUND RAT 🐀

We have had a friendly pet rat handed in after being found near California Crescent, close to the California Tavern.

The rat is very friendly, so we believe it may be someone's much-loved pet.

🔥☀️HEAT STROKE AWARENESS ☀️🔥

With the temperatures rising this weekend, this is usually enjoyable for ourselves however, it can sometimes become very dangerous for our furry friends as they are unable to regulate their temperatures like we do🐾

Here are a few ways you and your furry friend can enjoy the sun and minimise the risk:

🐾Only walk dogs early in the morning or late at night when temperatures have fallen🐶
🐾Ensure they are moved out of any direct sunlight☀️
🐾Give access to water at all times 💦
🐾Place them on top of a damp towel❄️
🐾Using cooling products such as mats/bandanas/ jackets💦
🐾Use cooler water to wet paw pads, chest and underarms💧
🐾Ensure they are in a well ventilated space with windows open🪟
🐾Use a fan💨

Some common signs of heat stroke include:
panting, drooling, seizures, very red or pale gums, collapsing, vomiting and diarrhoea. If you do notice any of these symptoms seek veterinary attention immediately!🚨
