A huge thank you to AW Demolition, our calendar sponsor for this month 💚

We honestly can’t thank these guys enough for the support they’ve given Little Nest Rescue. They don’t just sponsor our calendar, they’re always there supporting our events and regularly going above and beyond with extra donations too.

They are a genuinely lovely business who consistently support what we do and the animals in our care, and we’re incredibly grateful to have them in our corner.

Thank you, AW Demolition, for always backing Little Nest Rescue. It really does make a difference. 💚

🐴 Having a tack room clear-out? 🐴

We’d love to give your unwanted equestrian gear a new lease of life! 💚

If you’re having a sort-out and have any tack, horse rugs or equestrian clothing in usable condition, Little Nest Rescue would be so grateful for your donations.

Whether it’s a bridle you no longer use, rugs your horse has outgrown or riding clothes you no longer need, your pre-loved items could help support our rescue and raise funds for the animals in our care.

♻️ One person’s clear-out could make a real difference!

📩 Have something you’d like to donate? Drop us a message before arranging a drop-off we’d love to hear from you!

Thank you for thinking of Little Nest Rescue and helping us continue our work with animals and our community wellbeing projects. 💚🐴🐾

Cosmo has asked us to take a photo for his dating profile.

We suggested a headshot. He submitted this.

We’ve suggested he reconsider his options.

He’s asked us to stop interfering with his love life.

We wish him every success. He may need it. 😂🐴

Someone’s been practising his smile for the ladies. 😂

Unfortunately, he’s giving more recently released from prison than eligible bachelor.

Confidence: 10/10.
Technique: questionable.
Success rate: currently under investigation. 💚🐴

🐴💚 COULD YOU OFFER A HOME TO A COMPANION HORSE?

Not every horse needs a saddle.

Some just need a safe field, a few good friends, a warm stable when they want one and someone who thinks they’re pretty special. 💚

We currently have horses and ponies looking for experienced companion homes.

They’re not looking for ridden homes. They’re looking for people who are happy to give them a quiet, settled life and make them part of the family.

We’re looking for homes with:

🌿 Safe, secure grazing and suitable turnout
🐴 The right equine company
🏡 Good shelter and facilities
🌾 Appropriate feed and constant access to water
🩺 Proper veterinary, dental and farrier care
❤️ Time, patience and plenty of fuss
🔒 A genuine long term commitment

We don’t just want a home. We want the right home.

Every horse has their own personality, needs and quirks, so we take matching very seriously. There’s no rush to get them out of the door. We want to know they’re going somewhere they’ll be loved and properly cared for for the rest of their lives.

If you think you could offer a home to one of our companion horses, please message us with a little bit about your experience, your current horses or ponies, your facilities and the home you could offer.

And please share this post. You never know, their perfect person might be on your friends list. 💚🐴

🌧️🐴 Full house. Storm survived. Dignity largely unaffected.

Well, that was a weekend of weather. Thankfully, all the horses were safely tucked up in their stables while the storm did its worst outside.

They had shelter, plenty of hay and staff on hand to deal with any emergencies.

By emergencies, we mean running out of hay or being expected to stand somewhere slightly different.

Not one of them offered to help secure the yard, check the fences or even look vaguely concerned about the roof. They left all that to us, which was probably wise given their hourly rate is absolutely nothing.

Monday morning and they’re all recovering well. A full weekend indoors has clearly taken its toll. 😂

Storm: 0. Horses inconvenienced: also 0. Staff exhausted: 100%.

💚🐴
