Please help…. If anyone sees a small fawn coloured shih tzu out on her own, please grab her. She shot out of the door last night in the Bargate Lane area of Willington, after some ar****le was letting off fireworks. Have a very upset little girl in the shop, and would greatly appreciate any help. She answers to Lola. Thanks x

We’re completely shut this week Monday-Friday to have some essential electrical work done from the amazing RDL Electrical Services Ltd (who come highly recommended if you need any work doing!)

We will be back in on Saturday ready for the crazy build up to Christmas! All messages and calls will be returned after Saturday!

Ruff & Buff Update

As a lot of my customers already know, I am leaving Burton at the end of July.

Ruff & Buff will continue to trade under the ownership of Sam, and Kirsty will also continue to work as Doodle Style. Appointments with them will not be affected.

I am working my way through my customers who have appointments booked after I leave to offer them the chance to keep their appointments but moving them into either Sam or Kirsty’s diary.

I am incredibly proud of what I have achieved at Ruff & Buff and will miss all my lovely dogs and their owners. I know Sam and Kirsty will continue to offer a 5* service, but it is now time for me to start a new adventure.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the support you have given me over my time since I opened the business.

If you have an appointment booked and not heard from me I will be in touch over the next week or so.

The guidelines for dog groomers being able to remain open have been updated. DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural) and PIF (Pet Industry Federation) state that if a groom can be postponed and the dogs welfare is not going to be affected without a groom, the groom should be postponed until after the lockdown restrictions are lifted.

You know your dogs better than anyone and are best placed to decide if missing an appointment will cause matting or skin conditions, so I am asking you to let me know if you would rather postpone your next appointment.

Please continue to follow the protocols that we have in place when visiting the salon.

Hi,

I'm really pleased to let everyone know that we are open and continuing to groom. If you are unwell, have Covid symptoms or are isolating please get in touch and we can rearrange your appointment.

Please wear a facemask and use the hand gel provided and we have contactless handover for your dogs. We are asking that only one household is in reception at any time. Also please remove and keep hold of your dogs collar and lead. Contactless payment options are available.

On a happier note I'm delighted to let everyone know that I have a new groomer joining the salon. I have known Sam for over 20 years and she loves dogs as much as i do. Please get in touch to book an appointment.

Kirsty is still working inside Ruff & Buff, as Doodle Style.

Happy Christmas to all my lovely Customers. I’m so thankful for your continued support, especially in what has been a very challenging year. I really hope 2021 will be better for everyone.
