A quick update on the arena 🙌

The surface had become too deep to ride on, so it was time to invest and put things right. We’ve now had a brand new top layer installed, and the difference is already clear — much more even, supportive, and far better for the horses to work on.

It’s been a big job (and definitely a messy one — thank you to everyone involved 😅), and while there’s still a little more to do to get it perfectly level throughout, we’re really pleased with how it’s coming together.

Thank you to everyone for your patience — we’re confident it’ll be well worth it 🐴✨

£20.00 per horse, payments made on arrival with cash or card.

It's been an absolute pleasure to have Prime maintenance and landscaping working at Poplars of recent, helping to rejuvenate and improve our main stable block, which over time has started to look quite tired and in need of a refresh!
Thank you to Rob, Ste & Jacq for all of their hard work, we highly recommend them and look forward to having them back in the (hopefully) not too distant future 😊

Thank you to all of those from the BDS (Area 15 Derbyshire and Staffordshire) who arrived to take part on the 9th of June 2024. It was a pleasure to host the event at Poplars Farm Equestrian, and we truly hope everyone had a wonderful time :) We'll look forward to welcoming everyone back, next Sunday 7th of July!

POSITION AVAILABLE: PART TIME GROOM

We have an exciting opportunity available to join our team here at Poplars Farm Equestrian. We are currently looking to fulfil the position of a Part Time Groom to coincide with the launch of our new service based Livery packages. The vacancy will suit someone who has a passion for equestrian life and prides themselves in delivering a high standard of service.

If you are hardworking, punctual, and have prior knowledge in equine care then please get in touch for more information. Experience in a similar role is preferable but not essential. You must be over 18 years of age, and have availability to work weekends with the addition of occasional weekday cover.

Day to day tasks will include (but are not limited to) –

• Turn out and bring in of horses.
• Feeding and checking of water.
• Mucking out stables.
• Grooming and general health maintenance of the horses in your care.
• Following a detailed weekly programme for each horse’s specific needs.

Rate of pay, holiday and working hours will be discussed with the right candidate.

Christmas has arrived again at Poplars Farm Equestrian! We hope everyone's feeling festive😄🎄

After a few short delays, we've had two additional stables erected by Harlow's! Concreting, Automatic Water Drinkers, Rubber Matting, and fitting of the Tack-Rooms is all that's left to be finished before we can welcome two new liveries onto the yard!

With another quick update, we're happy to say that we have our Arena lights, up and running just in time for those dark winter nights! 🌕✨ We've also been busy installing Automatic Water Feeders to just over half of our current livery stables, with the other half to be installed soon!

A big thank you to Sam (and his team) along with Richard Street for all of their recent hard work at Poplars, the lights look fantastic and Water Feeders work like a dream 👍

FYI, we charge £15 per hour for external hire of the Arena (which includes the use of the lights, as required), plus £5 per additional horse during the hour.
