We have been advised that there are some suspected and some confirmed cases of strangles in our local area.

Here at Crow Wood, as not only a competition and venue to hire but also a livery yard, we heavily rely on our competitors and visitors being honest and responsible horse owners in keeping not only your own horses, but also your fellow competitors safe and healthy.

Please can we ask that, as a community with our horses health and welfare at the upmost importance, we be vigilant and conscientious.

Some signs to look out for:
- raised temperature 🤒 (above 38.5 degrees)
- lethargy 🫩
- loss of appetite 😶
- excessive or unusual nasal discharge🤧
- swelling of the lymph nodes (glands) 🐡
- sudden coughing😮‍💨
- ocular discharge👀

Let’s all work together to keep our horses safe and well.
