🌞 FREE Young Carer Summer Fun Day – Wednesday 12th August | 10:00am–1:00pm 🌞

Come along for a fantastic FREE morning at the horse stables!
Everyone is welcome – whether you're a young carer, a friend, a family member, or you're simply not sure whether you're a young carer.

💙 Many young people don't realise they're young carers. If you help look after a parent, brother, sister, grandparent or another family member because they're ill, disabled, have mental health challenges or need extra support, you could be a young carer without even realising it.

Join us for:

🎯 Garden games

Come along, have fun, and find out whether being a young carer applies to you, as well as the support available for young carers and their families.

Class Fees

£10 per entry per class.

Rosettes all classes 1st to 5th. (Trophy to first place in each class)

All places 1st-5th are awarded points towards the championship show on 27th September 2026.

Payment to be made with entry or will not be accepted.

Entries are open now and close 11 pm Saturday 29th August 2026.

No entries on the day unless already competing or unless otherwise disclosed.

Refreshments available on site. (elmwood’s burger van)

There will be first aid trained personnel on site.



Rules.

By entering this show you are accepting of these.

1) The adjudicating team’s decision is final, based on the following competition guidance.

Show jumping is based on the least number of “faults” incurred during a competitor’s round and the fastest time.

Pole knock-down = 4 faults

First refusal to jump a fence = 4 faults.

Second refusal = Elimination.

Fall of horse or rider = Elimination.

In the event of a tie for a place a jump off will take place (three fences from course of judges choice).

2) Any person or animal behaving in an unacceptable manner will be asked to leave the showground.

3) All dogs must be kept on leads.

4) Neither organiser or persons acting on their behalf accept liability for loss, accident, damage or injury to any horse, person, or property.

5) Hats must be worn at all times mounted or leading.

6) No horse or pony to be ridden until its fourth year (born 2022 or earlier).

7) Please take your rubbish home.
