Edit, these 2 cuties have relapsed with Cat Flu, so currently unavailable, hopefully they will be well enough for adoption soon.

🐾 Meet Tinky & Winky – Two Tiny Fighters with Huge Hearts! 🐾
These adorable kittens came to us battling severe cat flu that left them with damaged eyes. Despite the odds, they showed incredible strength and had surgery to remove one eye each. Now fully recovered, they’re thriving, playful, and ready to find their forever home – together! 💕
Tinky and Winky may have lost an eye, but they’ve gained a whole lot of love to give. They’re friendly, affectionate, and would make the perfect addition to a loving family. 🏡💖
Could you give these brave little kittens the happy ending they deserve?

💚 Affectionate Cat Looking For His Forever Home 💚

Meet the handsome Louie. He is a 3 year old black domestic short haired male. He was brought into care on the 06/07/25 when his owners circumstances changed and they could sadly no longer keep him.

Louie is an adorable boy who absolutely loves cuddles! He is so affectionate and friendly and we were told that he is very much a lapcat, so he will make a lovely companion for that special someone.

He has lived with cats before and a collie dog, and could do so again. He has never lived with children, however children used to visit his last home and his previous owner told us that he was great with them. He has never been outside before, but is eager to explore and play in a secure garden after a settling in period. Can his forever home be with you?

If you would like to find out more about Louie, please visit: www.cats.org.uk/bridgend -49136

We are open every day excluding Tuesdays, between 11am - 2.40pm if you would like to come in and meet him ☺

⭐ Cat of the Week 🐈

This week's Cat of the Week is the pretty Azura, a 1 year and 8-month-old female, domestic shorthair tabby and white cat with 4 white socks. Azura was brought into our care as sadly she was found straying with her kittens. She is a sweet and friendly young cat and loves a fuss once she gets to know you.

On arrival at Wales Cat Centre, it was discovered that Azura has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a virus that weakens a cat's immune system. FIV is specific to cats and is passed on through saliva. FIV cats can still have a full and happy life, and you can help them by providing lots of love, care and playtime.

An FIV cat needs to be only cat in the household and will need to be kept indoors. This is to stop the spread of infection and to protect the cat from picking up other illnesses. It is important to take an FIV cat to the vet at any sign of illness and for them to have regular boosters.

Lovely Azura has recently been adopted 🥰

If you would like to know more about FIV in cats and/or are considering adopting a cat with FIV, please see the Help and Advice Section on the main Cat Protection website, and then select the link to Health, followed by FIV in Cats.

Alternatively, If you interested in adopting a cat or kitten from Wales Cat Centre, Bridgend please visit our website at www.cats.org.ik/bridgend to see the cats and kittens currently available for homing.

💕 Home Sweet Home 💕

We would love to share with you all, with his new owners permission, the very handsome Kitkat looking very content and happy in his new home ☺️

KitKat is a 2 year old tabby male who was brought into the centre when his owners were moving and were unable to take him along too. KitKat found coming in to the centre very overwhelming and was very timid to begin with.

Our staff and desensitisation volunteers spent extra time daily with Kitkat, helping to bring him out of his shell at his own pace. They did this by sitting next to his pen and reading to him to begin with, so he could get used to our presence, then as he became more settled, eventually started grooming and playing with him. Over time, he became much more confident and would flop on his back with his legs in the air for tummy tickles and eagerly awaited his one on one time daily ❤

He was one of our longest staying cats, and was luckily adopted on the 22/06/25 after having spent 3 months in our care. His new owner Victoria has said - "Myself and my husband recently adopted KitKat. He has made himself right at home and made our home complete. He’s found his voice and has the cutest meow and loves to play with his toys. We are so happy we adopted him and he’s become part of our family and we love him so much.. I know everyone at the centre loved KitKat so wanted to share how he’s doing with you all."

We love hearing heart warming stories like these, and it is so lovely to see cats like Kitkat who were once so shy, to now be so happy and settled. They just need an understanding owner who can give them a little extra TLC and time to settle. If you would like to adopt, we are open to the public every day excluding Tuesdays, between 11am - 2.40pm. We look forward to meeting you ☺️

With just one week to go until our hugely popular Summer Open Day, we are still in need of donations of items that we can use on our fundraising stalls, such as unwanted gifts for our tombola, bottles and cans of drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) for our 'Barrow of Booze' raffle and unwanted household items for our Bric-a-brac stall. (Please note that we can only accept electrical items that are new and unopened)

If you can help us, then please drop any kind donations off at our Centre between 10:00am - 3:00pm. -If you are only able to drop items off outside of these hours, then please give us a call so that we can try and arrange a convenient time. (Please do not leave items outside when we are closed)

Thank you in advance for any help you can give as you really will be helping us to make life better for cats. 🤗🐾
