As we make our way into the rainy, autumnal season - that can only mean one thing... muddy dog walks🐾

Your four-legged friends are part of the family. But their not-so-subtle post-walk aroma can be a little unpleasant. Here is my 5 step guide to stopping your house from smelling like dogs (without filling the air with toxic chemicals!).

1 - Give their bed a daily spritz: There is no better feeling than slipping into fresh bedding. We don’t know whether dogs feel the same, but using our Pet Bed Refresher can keep their beds smelling just as nice as ours.

2 - Keep the carpet clean and fur-free: You want to try and get as much of the dog hair out of the carpet fibres as possible. For some pet owners, this can need to be done two or three times a week.

3 - Diffuse the air: I always find placing a candle or reed diffuser on a shelf above a radiator a great way to keep your chosen aroma ever-present without becoming overpowering.

4 - Use a good dog shampoo: After a muddy walk, sometimes a bath is in desperate need. Our Coastal Walks Dog Shampoo is perfect for deep cleaning their fur of dirt, sand, sea water and anything else they may have trampled through.
