Today is World Pet Memorial Day, a special opportunity to reflect on the unique bond we share with our pets, and to remember the joy, comfort and companionship they bring to our lives. 💚

The love we share with our dogs never truly leaves us. That's why we'd like to invite you to add a tribute to our Rainbow Bridge of Remembrance. Share a photograph, a favourite memory, or a message celebrating a dog who meant the world to you.

Hello friends, my name is Ella! I'm a 6-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross in search of a forever home where I can continue learning about the world and become the best companion.

I get so excited to meet everyone, people are just the best! But sometimes I can get a little carried away and be a bit mouthy. I promise I don't mean any harm, I'm just at that playful age where everything is fun! Because of my excitement levels, I will need to live in an adult-only home.

Living with another friendly, confident dog in my new home is a must. I love meeting dogs, and having a four-legged friend at home will help me feel more settled.

Because I'm still a young pup, I will need ongoing training and guidance. The good news is, I'm incredibly food motivated so training me should be great fun. I'm not too fond of being left alone, especially for long periods. We will need to build my leaving hours gradually.

If you're looking for a fun, loving, and cheeky companion, then I might just be the perfect girl for you!

The doors are officially open to our brand-new charity shop in Calverton! 🎉

We're delighted to be a part of the local community and can’t wait to welcome you. Whether you’re hunting for a hidden gem, looking to donate pre-loved goods, or simply popping in to say hello, every visit helps support dogs in need of a second chance.

As Volunteers’ Week comes to an end, we just want to say another huge thank you to our amazing volunteers. 💚

This week has been all about celebrating you – but your impact is felt every single day.

In just the first three months of this year, you’ve given almost 6,000 hours of your time. Every moment has made a difference; raising vital funds, supporting our teams, caring for our dogs, and helping our charity shops thrive.

We’re also proud to have welcomed 33 new volunteers into the Jerry Green family between January and March 2026, making it possible to be there for every dog who needs us. 🐶

From all of us, and from every dog whose life you’ve changed, thank you for everything you do.

Our brand-new Charity Shop in Calverton is opening tomorrow! 🌟

Join us from 10am as we celebrate this exciting new chapter with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Jan, one of our incredible long-standing volunteers, whose dedication has helped support countless dogs on their journey to a forever home.

There'll be tasty puppaccinos, a visit from Rusty the mascot, plenty of bargains to browse, and lots of opportunities to meet the team and hear heart-warming rescue stories first-hand.

When Rocky and Lottie arrived at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, little was known about their past. What was clear was that their world had become very small, and it would take time, patience and care to help them feel safe again.

Thanks to Jo and Graham, one of our amazing volunteer foster families, that’s exactly what happened.

In the comfort of a loving home, Rocky and Lottie were given the chance to experience the life that every dog deserves. With gentle encouragement and consistency, their playful, energetic personalities began to shine through.

Determined to find their perfect forever home, Jo and Graham went the extra mile – even creating LinkedIn profiles to showcase their charm and give them the best possible chance of being seen.

After nearly three months, Rocky and Lottie found their forever home together. It’s thanks to volunteer foster carers like Jo and Graham that dogs like Rocky and Lottie are given the chance to begin again.

Thank you both for everything you to do help rescue dogs on their journey to happiness. 💚🐾

Hello everyone, my name's Satsuma! 🍊🐾

I'm a 4-month-old, playful Cane Corso pup looking to segment myself right into the perfect forever home.

I'm still learning the ropes for some of the basics, so I'll need a dedicated family who can help me grow into the best young dog I know I can be. A secure garden where we can practice my training is a must, but I'm a bright little guy so I'm sure we'll make a great team! 💚

I'd be happy to live with children over 5+, as long as my family are home most of the time to help me settle in and build up my confidence over time. I could potentially live with another dog pal too, as long as we become best friends at the North Lincolnshire Centre first.

Thinking about volunteering? 🐶

Jane began volunteering at our Scunthorpe shop in 2022, bringing with her a genuine passion for supporting rescue dogs. From her very first shift, she became a valued part of the team, playing an important role in the day-to-day running of the shop.

For Jane, building relationships with customers and meeting the dogs who pop in for a treat are some of her favourite everyday moments. Her enthusiasm for retail led her to take the next step in her journey, becoming Retail Manager of our Scunthorpe shop in February 2026.

But her experience as a volunteer continues to shape how she sees the charity today:

“I realised how much we rely on and appreciate our volunteers and how they keep the shop floor running smoothly,” she shared.

Hi everyone, Harper here! 💚

I'm a gorgeous 7-year-old Husky Cross searching for a special forever home where I can be someone's loyal companion. I can be a little shy at first, but with some patience and a few tasty treats, you'll soon find out just how affectionate and loving I really am!

I could happily live with sensible children over 14+, and I'd love a family who can keep both my mind and body active. I'm a very clever girl who loves having a purpose and learning new things, so a secure garden where we can practice would be amazing too!

My ideal home would be somewhere peaceful, where I won't have to interact with too many other dogs. My confidence is growing day by day, but I'd need to be the only pet in my new home to feel truly safe and settled. 🐾
