This is just one post about dogs dying in heat in recent days. Licensed home boarders like me have to have numerous protocols/measures in place.
I don't post this to get more business. I share this as love dogs and want to help people in last minute panic holiday booking to take care who they leave their precious ones with.
If I can't help you with your pooch as am fully booked/not suitable for my canine crew I will do my utmost to help you find an alternative licensed and legal holiday home for your loved ones.

"It is with great sadness that I share this information. This death could have been avoided. One family no longer has their beloved dog due to using an unlicenced home boarder.
Copied from another group, just so sad 😞
This weekend a heartbreaking incident saw a dog lose its life from heat stroke whilst in the care of an unlicensed home boarder. 💔
The boarder lied and said they were licensed 🤬🤬🤬
It’s a devastating reminder of why choosing a LICENSED home boarding service matters so much.
Licensed boarders are required to:
✔️ Have inspections carried out
✔️ Complete risk assessments
✔️ Meet animal welfare standards
✔️ Hold appropriate insurance
✔️ Follow safety procedures for weather, exercise, transport and emergencies
Sadly, when people operate without a licence, these checks often aren’t in place — leaving dogs at risk and owners with little protection if the worst happens.
Please, before leaving your beloved pets with anyone:
🐾 Ask to see their licence
🐾 Check insurance cover
🐾 Read reviews
🐾 Visit the premises first
🐾 Don’t be afraid to ask questions
Our dogs are family, and their safety should always come first. ❤️
Please share to help raise awareness

Normally only do a monthly update, but this weekend has been a real special one with long-standing canine clients mixing with some newbies.
Fabulous canine crew ... Thank you to Roy, Hetty, Milo, Tannie, Patch, and Archie who shared at different times the weekend with me. As all sadly leaving today to make room for my next canine crew, I might have a space on my bed tonight (and hubs can return from the spare room!) 😍 But that's what being a licensed home boarder is about ... pooch priorities!

After a winter in Spain successfully preparing six rescue dogs for their forever homes (all well settled with their new parents), it's been a privilege to be back home to host these canine cuties over the past month. Especially those who I've been able to help on their separation anxiety journey ... and a big thank you to all my regular canine clients who have helped mentor the nervous little ones.

And this is why as a 5* licensed home boarder I invest in my training, security, health, safety and hygiene procedures to give my canine clients and their pup parents total peace of mind when they're out for the day or away. Cuddles and canoodles are not covered under the regulations ... but I'm here to make sure they get 24/7.

As I come to the end of the last weekend of my 2025 doggy season, reflecting on the last nine months of welcoming dogs into my home is a bittersweet experience.

A couple of my lovely owners have sadly passed. As have four of my elderly canine gentlemen I have looked after over the years.

I won't name them/post pix as I know how painful it is to be reminded of such personal loss.

But your families know who you are and believe me, I miss each and every one of you whether human or canine.

As most of you know, I also suffered a deep personal canine loss recently.

My own Jaidii went to join big brothers Bruce (and Mungo for those who have known me a very long time) in the big swimming pool in the sky. I still can't write too much about her as the pain is still raw.

But despite the personal pain, 2025 has been a year of such joy too.

A lovely canine crew of regular clients where doing this job one does get to share the intimate moments of their lives.

Only yesterday, for instance, I had the privilege of taking little Ronnie to his parents' wedding whilst taking a call for emergency care for the funeral of one my client's parents.

And today, as I say good bye for the winter to my most regular clients, it is with many tears.

Tears of sadness but also tears of joy that I will be part of their humans' life journeys next year too.

So as is usual at this time of the year, I post the last couple of months' moments of joy with my canine clients.

And to say that although closed from next weekend am always available on WA for bookings/chats/support.

If I can't help due to be being booked will always try and help you find alternative properly licensed/insured/qualified people to look after your precious pooches.

Just a few pix of the canine crew over the last few weeks.
Most have stayed multiple times (including within last few weeks) which guess is best feedback to receive.
Hence why don't have too many Google Reviews but if you want to check out those that I have, head to https://g.page/r/CVRr4yh73LbnEBM/review

I am so blessed with such lovely human and canine clients.
A recent one just left this review and only post as owner has so totally 'got' my mission in providing hollibobs' accomodation for the latter.

"Our senior dog is not a fan of kennels anymore. He had a wonderful time with Caroline home from home as he’s very much a people dog. We were relaxed on holiday but not as relaxed as he was while staying with Caroline. Daily updates kept us reassured that he was settled and enjoying himself. Caroline runs a very professional service and understands very well how to provide the best of care while maintaining boundaries and reinforcing good behaviour. Our boy came back to us happy and relaxed, unlike his last day at kennels. I would absolutely recommend Caroline to anyone looking for a bespoke home from home service for a dog that may not thrive in a kennel environment."

I won't name the client as am always wary of data protection, but if you see this, thank you.
