What a very beautiful and sunny day for our final walk of 2025! Another fantastic year spent with your lovely dogs and your loyal custom. Well… today gave us all a little reminder that dogs like to keep us humble 😅

Little Dexter the sausage decided, quite suddenly, that he had other plans and bolted mid-walk. It was one of those moments that can happen even to the best of us, especially with sensitive little souls who get spooked in a split second.

Emergency protocol kicked straight in — other dogs secured, owners contacted, and me staying rooted and fairly quiet around the bolt spot while we searched.

And in true Dexter fashion… he’d clearly decided that finishing the walk was overrated, and that a solo adventure to Brixham Library was far more appealing 📚🐾

I’m very relieved to say all’s well that ends well — Dexter has been spotted safe and sound, and his owners are on their way to collect him now. Hopefully he’s been brushing up on his recall skills while he’s been there…

As for me, I think I’m off to lie down in a dark room for a bit and remind myself why we love these little characters so much 💛
Dexter, you will be on lead walks from now on!

It’s wet and windy and we really don’t mind today. It’s been a stick heavy walk with Cosmo, Kharnie and Nala all enjoying getting one or 10. Basil and Dexter have enjoyed a much more civilised walk ❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🎄
