Your regular groomer
The relationship between a dog and their regular groomer is something very special. 🥰
As your regular groomer, I know what your dog does and doesn’t like, I know whether we need to go slower with the dryer as they aren’t fond of it, I know whether they will love an extra long scrub/massage in the bath, or a big cuddle and ear scratch after their groom.
I love to hear stories of what your dogs have been up to, we worry about them when they are poorly and we cry with you when anything happens to them.
I can tell you each and every lump and bump they have, I can also tell you if any have changed since I last saw them! (Which is impressive seeing as I can barely remember what I had for tea the previous night 🤣)
I see some dogs that bound up to me and cannot wait to jump into the bath! Some dogs can become visibly anxious (most of the time this is just during drop) but once they are in a settled they come round very fast.
Some dogs really aren’t that fond of the grooming process, and you know what? That’s okay! (I don’t really like going to the dentist or doctors but it’s a must for my health) BUT you know your dog is in very safe hands with someone that knows them well.
Throughout my years of grooming I’ve seen many many dogs, different sizes, shapes and temperaments. There is nothing more special to me than being able to build an individual relationship with each and every dog I regularly see, and each relationship is different, just like with people!
The more trust your dog has in their groomer the more relaxed they become, things that may have been incredibly stressful for them before (bathing, nail clipping as examples) can become a lot more calming for a dog when they trust and know you.
To my regular (or new) dogs that walk into my salon I promise to -
Love them as my own
Be kind & patient with them
Provide an un-rushed, and gentle grooming session
Take into consideration your dogs individual needs to provide the most safe & relaxing environment for them.
