Another weekend talking poo bags...😂 We were very happy to be a part of event, A Dog's Day on the Heath!
We met lots of amazing dog owners, passionate conservationists and volunteers doing incredible work, many inspiring brands and businesses - and of course, lots of adorable dogs!

It's Plastic Free July... and yes, Rupert the Roll is made of plastic.

That might sound ironic, but the conversation goes deeper than simply going “plastic-free” for everything.

Dog poo bags are treated differently to many other items - they can’t be composted or recycled. They are treated as general waste and mostly incinerated. Plastic Free July often focuses on what we should stop doing. However, we'd like to focus on what we're achieving together too. 🤝

Through every Pet Impact product, our community has helped fund the recovery of 57,596.76 kg of ocean-bound plastic through our partnership with rePurpose Global.

That's 6,399,640 bottles' worth of plastic recovered before it pollutes our environment or oceans! 🌊

Every ReSEAcled Poo Bag funds the recovery of one bottle’s worth of ocean-bound plastic (9g), and by doing so, also supports vulnerable communities most impacted by the plastic crisis. This is done through a partnership with RePurpose Global, and currently funds a plastic recovery project in Goa, India.

On top of this, ReSEAcled are made of 65% recycled plastic and 30% oyster shell waste - repurposing existing rubbish into something useful.

An important one for Plastic Free July - are “plastic-free” poo bags really plastic-free?

Unfortunately it’s marketing, not reality. Poo bags branded as “plastic-free” are still chemically, physically and legally classed as plastics!

We fell for the marketing too - did you?
