I used to set my alarm for 5am just so my dog Milo could have the kind of walk he really loved.
Back when I was working a 9–5 office job, that was the only way I could squeeze in a proper woodland adventure outside of Bristol before work. Like many people, my days didn’t always end neatly at 5. Evenings filled up fast, plans changed, and before I knew it, weeks would pass without Milo getting those calm, spacious walks I knew were so important for him.
When I started looking for help, I realised that most dog walkers only offered local walks, the same routes I did daily.
So I decided to create the service I wished had existed for us.
That’s how Doggie Hikes was born—a way for dogs to be picked up from North Bristol during the working week and taken on real adventures in quiet woodland locations outside the city.
Every hike is designed around safety, calmness, and giving dogs the space they deserve:
✔️ GPS trackers on every dog, with live locations shared with owners
✔️ Canine first aid trained, with a kit carried on every walk
✔️ Secure, individual crate transport
✔️ Small groups only—never more than four dogs at a time
