We have been fostering dogs for Luckys Legacy Rescue since March 2021, they are an amazing rescue who go above and beyond to make sure all their dogs are fully health checked, vaccinated and have the best care.
The rescue have a fantastic network of volunteers who fully check potential adopters to make sure that the dogs are placed in the most suitable homes. Their support continues after the dogs have arrived in the UK and they are always their for advice and help.

There is currently a ban on bringing Dogs in to the UK which is having a devastating effect on all of the rescues abroad who are working tirelessly to help these animals.

Please help us get this ban reversed so that these rescues can continue their amazing work.

Please sign this petition to support the outstanding work done by many rescue organisations.
Raising the import age will have such a negative impact on the great work that they do.

There is a new proposed law that would increase the minimum age for importing puppies to the UK to 6 months old. We would like to keep the current law in place allowing them to be imported at 15 weeks. I run a charity called The Pack Project that rehomes dogs mainly from Romania.

We hope that you are all keeping safe and well and would like to thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are now able to reschedule and begin to take routine grooming appointments.

We will be contacting people to reschedule appointments that had to be cancelled due to lockdown over the next couple of weeks.

We will be continuing to follow guidelines for handover and social distancing.

We also ask that you please wear a mask when dropping off and collecting your dog.

WELFARE GROOMING

We are fortunate to be able to stay open for your pets welfare.

Please contact 07948 698525 and we will assess if your dog can be groomed during lockdown for welfare grooming.

We will assess each individual case, only grooming for essential welfare reasons and will be delaying routine appointments as far as possible so as to not affect your pets welfare.

Please note we will not be doing routine grooming appointments at this time.

During lockdown we are only able to offer welfare grooming appointments to our existing customers as we know the dogs and can therefore make an accurate assessment as to when they need to be groomed for their welfare.

🚨**UPDATE** 🚨

Grooming during lockdown.

Welfare grooming has been clarified by CFSG (Canine & Feline Sector Group)

It states that ....

•Groomers may accept a dog to be groomed by appointment where this is necessary for the animal’s welfare and not simply for aesthetic reasons.

•Welfare reasons could include on veterinary advice for a skin condition or excessive matting causing the pet discomfort.

•When routine grooming can be delayed without affecting the pet’s welfare until the national lockdown is eased it should be put off.

We have therefore taken the decision to reevaluate any booked appointments to make sure that we are following the guidelines properly.

It is important at this time to make sure that we are not loosing sight of the reasons for this guidance & make every effort to stay at home & do our upmost to stay safe & support our NHS.

Lockdown update

We hope that you are all keeping safe & well.
Thankyou for your continued support & understanding in these uncertain times.

We are lucky to be able to continue to stay open for the welfare of your dogs.
Following these government guidelines....
-Animal rescue centres, boarding facilities and animal groomers (may continue to be used for animal welfare, rather than aesthetic purposes).

We will be rescheduling appointments that we feel do not require welfare grooming, & moving appointments on to make sure that we are only grooming for welfare.
Following guidelines for going out for essential reasons only, please attend your appointment as part of your daily exercise or an essential journey.

If you have an appointment booked we will be in touch, if you wish to book an appointment, or have any questions please message on 07948 698525 & we will get back to you as soon as possible.

If anyone in your household or anyone you have had contact with has Covid, or if you have symptoms please contact us to cancel & reschedule your appointment.

We will be following handover protocol as before, with prompt drop off & collection to avoid contact. Please ensure that you wear a mask 😷
