Our Beautiful Boy is back here again. After suffering paralysis, needing emergency surgery and months of rehabilitation in 2020, Sweep once again showed signs of severe back pain last week. We rushed him to the vet and were seen by the specialist neurology team the next day. Luckily we caught it early, and Sweep loves being a lazy sausage! So a cocktail of pain medication and strict rest for now; we're all hopeful that he can recover from this without the need for more invasive intervention 🤞

A huge thank you to our clients who were so kind when we had to close our Day Care with minutes notice, and have sent so many supportive messages full of love and offers of help. It means more to us than you realise, thank you ❤️

We politely ask for patience while we focus on our family and Sweep's recovery 🐾

The wonderful Stan and Wilf's mum shared this memory of the boys first ever day here at Silly Sausages Dog Services. Her anxious social media post, the first picture we sent her and us all now ♥️ Hasn't Wilf grown?! Getting to watch puppies grow and see dogs confidence shine is my favourite part of the job! ... And I can confirm that neither of the brothers have ever been in detention 😂

International Women's Day is a big deal at Silly Sausages Dog Services. It was the day we officially got our licence to trade 7 years ago!

And it was started by our very own wonderful woman, Emily. Some of you will know that prior to starting the business, Emily worked in health and social care. She started in residential homes working with deaf adults with additional needs and moved into the community alongside children's homes and finally decided to train as a Mental Health Nurse. Unfortunately the NHS was not a positive place to work, and although Emily loved her job, her workplace and team were extremely toxic.

In January 2017 Emily decided to quit nursing. It was a time that she felt broken and completely lost. But she had her two gorgeous dachshunds and a few weeks later just happened to see a post on Facebook of another wonderful woman (who happens to be a midwife) looking for day care for her sausage dog... And the rest is history!

Since then Emily has grown Silly Sausages Dog Services to be a successful business, with her husband joining the team in 2019. Since starting, Emily has also achieved Grades 1 and 2 piano, and her Level 1 and 2 in tap dance. She helps out in her community and has recently been elected chair of the local friends group.

Never forget what you're capable of. You are incredible 💪🏻
