Dear all
I was admitted to hospital shortly before Christmas and came out on the 23rd. I am going to take some time out to recover and am hoping things will be back to some kind of normality from around March onwards. In the mean time you can view our therapist register at https://www.k9-massageguild.co.uk/therapistregister/ and I'm sure one of my colleagues would be happy to help.

My clients at Chapel Farm Rehab are unaffected.

Thanks for your understanding and apologies for any inconvenience.
Kate

I had the privilege of massaging this wonderful dog trainer's beautiful Rosie today 😍 my first tripawd and an absolutely lovely girl to massage. Its so important for dogs who are missing a limb to have massage treatment to address all the areas of compensation that can develop as they navigate through life. Absolutely the right decision for Rosie Heal&Lead she is lucky to have such wonderful owners 😊

One of the very first games I teach in class is boundaries - it can be hard at first to get across why boundaries are so important, so it was really great this morning to get a reminder - we'd paid for an hour's massage and that was what Rosie got - she walked into the room, saw the mat, lay down and didn't move, so got the absolute best treatment for the time she was there.

I'm told that's quite unusual as most dogs will take time to settle and get up to explore the room - so that's a plus for good boundaries!!

Thank you Chapel Farm and Release The Hounds for helping Rosie girl live her best life!!

The gorgeous Ed came for his 3rd massage today. have awarded him Dog of The Month for June 😍
He's a 9 year old black lab who is a pleasure to work with! Ed's owner says he is already moving his back legs a lot more smoothly so I am really looking forward to see how he does after today's treatment which completed his initial course.

Lovely to see the gorgeous Digby for his maintenance massage!
Digby has a neurological condition which means he has weakness in his back legs. Massage can help support blood flow and drainage to the muscles in this area and provide pain management in areas of overcompensation. He certainly loves work on his shoulders and neck which are areas he uses more to help support his body.

Had a lush day at the big bark today! Met some fab people including Thanks for a brilliant Sunday out!

I am delighted to announce that I will be working with the fantastic team at delivering Canine Massage therapy! I'm a proud member of the Canine Massage Guild having completed 2 year training in the only form of this discipline to have completed clinical trials. I provide a blend of massage techniques including the Lenton Method - a direct myofascial release technique and the inspiration for my business name Release The Hounds!
I have treated a huge variety of breeds from Newfoundlands to Pugs and every treatment is tailored to your dog's specific needs.
I have been a client of Chapel Farm myself for the past few months with my miniature dachshund who is recovering from IVDD. I am thrilled with the results we have been getting from her hydrotherapy which has really complimented the maintenance massage she receives. Having a dachshund has helped me to be able to adapt my technique and I am used to working in a very precise way on smaller breeds as a result.
I cannot wait to become a part of this wonderful, kind and highly skilled team!
