Bless this old girly. She’s 13 and needs some breaks in between her grooms now as she can’t stand on the table for too long.

She’s going to be staying with me for a couple weeks in the spring while her parents are off on holiday and I can’t wait to look after her. She’s such an angel 😇

Nobody wants to post a shave off because it doesn’t look good but they are necessary when a dog is matted/ pelted all over.

When there are multiple areas matted/ pelted, the kindest thing to do for your dog is to shave them and to start again.

Mats get tighter as they progress and can actually restrict the dog’s blood flow. As you can imagine this is super uncomfortable and unpleasant for your dog and trying to brush this out is even worse.

Yes, your dog may look super strange for a little while as the hair grows back but they don’t care what they look like. Only how they feel…

It makes me feel good personally when I shave a dog that’s super matted because I know I’m making them comfortable.

Always trust your groomers advice when it comes to shave offs and matting. They know best ✂️

Please note matting fees always apply. Prices vary depending on the severity of the matting.
