It has been a labour of love; Luigi has built the shop fittings himself from scratch, our own dogs have been our discerning food critics, our son has th

rown himself into it all willingly and we are loving our new life - working together at something we really believe in. As pet carers, we understand that the quality of the food and products you buy really matters. At Paws with a Cause, we’re committed to selling first-rate items that you and your pet are sure to love. Additionally, we aim to source and supply ethical products from companies with decent ethical credentials. We support animal welfare charities such as Dr Hadwen's Trust and Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare. As well as providing food for cats and dogs, we also cater for smaller furry animals,pond fish, wild birds, and chickens. We can often order in products for other animals, so please ask if you are not sure. We stock the following brands:
Gentle - Orijen - Acana -Barking Heads - Arden Grange - Applaws - Canagan - Symply - Eden- Edgar and Cooper - Nature’s Menu - Forthlade - Nutriment - Natural Instinct - Simpson's and Pooch and Mutt. We are a small store and cannot carry a huge stock on site, but if there is something else you need that fits within our values, give us a call and we'll try to get it for you, normally in a few days.

As it is coming up on us fast, here's all you need to know about our Christmas and New Year Opening times.

It's all in the pretty picture, but in summary, we are here until 2:30pm on Christmas Eve, then closed for the week, back at 9am on Friday 2nd January!

As usual, if you have a regular delivery slot that will be affected by our closing, we'll contact you in advance to arrange everything with you. As many of our suppliers will be closed too, and also deliveries in to us will slow as we approach Christmas week - if possible please let us know by 15th December if you would like to stock up, (ideally with enough to see you through to the week commencing 5th January!

Albert was the Lucky Dog today, getting the Second Advent Sausage as we opened the doors today!

He just pipped another regular, Oreo, to it, but I am sure Oreo will get his door before the month is out, and his moment in the sun will come!

When we open again on Monday, if you can believe it, it’s the First of December… and that means Advent!

Regular followers will know the drill… we have an Advent Calendar, (this year a Gourmet Sausage one), and every day the treat goes to the First Dog In. Then there’s a quick photo shoot, and the lucky hound gets their 15 minutes of fame on this page 📸❤️

I also saw Snowella loitering about the window before I left… that’s normally the cue for her to spread her Festive Magic and get the window scene all Christmas like… so watch this space … or better still, the window!
