For cat owners in Brighton & Hove we are able to provide financial assistance with the cost of neutering, where there is a real need.

To request a neutering voucher, please complete an application form which you can get a link to by emailing the team at [email protected]

We will need to know what vet you are using for the procedure and what the cost will be.

SHOP ASSISTANT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Make a difference to cats by volunteering at our shop - pop in for more information.

Our shop assistant volunteers help with all aspects of the day-to-day running of our fantastic shops. This is a really flexible role where you can choose what you’d like to get involved with.

You might be a real people person who thrives on talking to people and serving customers. You might love making sure our shops are as tidy, organised and welcoming as they can be, creating a great shopping experience for customers. Maybe you have an eye for detail and would enjoy rummaging through donations in the store room, researching and pricing items. Or perhaps you have a flair for fashion and want to use your skills to create beautiful, eye-catching displays.

Whatever your strengths, your skills and experience will make such a difference. And if you’ve never volunteered in a shop before, we’ve got you. We’ll provide all the training and support you need, helping you to build your confidence and giving you the opportunity to try out different parts of the role.

This gorgeous pair of kittens, Apple🍏 & Plum💜 are ready to be adopted together!

Apple is a female fluffy torby with striking autumnal colouring, while Plum is her ginger brother with a soft, handsome coat. Both are sociable, playful, and well-adjusted kittens who enjoy interactive play and quiet companionship in equal measure.

They share a close bond and thrive in each other’s company; therefore, a joint adoption is preferred to ensure their continued wellbeing. Apple and Plum would make an excellent addition to a home seeking affectionate, engaging feline companions.

🧑‍💻 Admin volunteer needed to support our & Branch Team Leader

We’re looking for a friendly, organised volunteer to help our committee set up simple, effective systems to support several exciting local initiatives. You’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly – from helping us organise information and streamline processes, to making sure our team has what they need to succeed.

Our administration volunteers usually spend 2 to 3 hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

🐱 Garfield is our cat of the month he is a sweet but shy boy who likes to take his time to get to know you.

🏡 We’d like to find him a calm home with a big garden where he can explore safely —ideally in the countryside or on a quiet farm, away from busy roads.

⚖ He’s a bit on the chubby side, so he’ll need some help with a gentle diet to get back to a healthy weight.

🌼 With patience, care, and a peaceful space, Garfield will blossom into a happy, affectionate companion who enjoys both company and quiet adventures.

Help Us Feed Mums & Kittens in Need!

Our Cats Protection Brighton & Hove - Supporting Cat Owners Team is currently helping families who are struggling to care for their beloved cats. Right now, we’re seeing more and more cases where owners are overwhelmed — due to lack of time, money, space, or challenges like too many cats or behavioural issues.

Among these are mums and their kittens — tiny lives just starting out — who we desperately want to support while they wait for a space in our care. Though we can’t take them all in just yet, we can help them stay safe and nourished where they are.

👉 That’s where you come in.
We’re appealing for donations of kitten food — both for the little ones and their hardworking mums who are still feeding them. We’ve listed urgently needed items on our Supporting Cat Owners Wish List.
