*** COVID UPDATE FOR BRIGHTON DIGS ***

Hope everyone is keeping well.

As Theatre Royal Brighton has shows scheduled from April onwards we wanted to give a quick update on availability.

We are happy to take advanced bookings for any shows from June onwards - we feel that April is a bit too soon and also probably a bit optimistic 😕.

We do not take deposits so just drop us a message if you'd like to book. We will start updating our page calendar soon so you can check availability.

We're looking forward to welcoming guests again in the summer xx

*** DIGS UPDATE ***

As some open air performances are now starting in Brighton, this is an update on our Brighton digs.

We are sorry to say that we feel that it is a bit too soon for us to be offering our rooms to let as we have shared facilities.

We hope to be back doing digs soon but it really depends on how things go over the next month or two.

Our thoughts are with all theatre people who have had their careers brought to such an abrupt halt 😢. We are particularly aware of the impact on young performers as our sons Starlight Express contract was cut short on 13th March and, as for you all, he has little prospect of work in the near future.

But "the show must go on" ...and one thing we know for sure is that performers have a great capacity for resilience - how else would they keep going with auditions 🤩

Sending best wishes to everyone - performers, stage crew, technicians and fellow hosts - we look forward to welcoming you at our digs in the future xx

We have two rooms available to let to theatre people who are touring in Brighton. We welcome performers, creatives and crew.

The rooms are at the top of our Victorian house which is close to central Brighton.

1. The Purple Room: large room with double bed, TV (with freeview), wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk & chair

2. The Green Room: small double (4ft) bed, dressing table & chair

You would be sharing with the owners Diane & Mick. Our son is a theatre performer and we will welcome you to our home as we hope others welcome him. We are happy to be flexible as needed. While we love getting to know our guests we are equally are happy to respect your privacy.

Our house is about 15-20 mins walk to Theatre Royal and the town centre. Alternatively, it is 5 minutes by bus with the closest stop 1 minute from the house.

We offer to pick up/drop off from Brighton station if you are travelling by train. If you come by car there is free parking about 10-15 min walk away or paid parking outside the house at £3.80 a day. If you would like paid parking please arrange this before arrival so we can pre-purchase visitors permits - this is cheaper for you than pay & display!

You will have shared use of bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen, washing machine, tumble drier & garden. Smoking is only allowed in the garden. There are no pets in the house or we do not accept pets with a booking.

Included are: bedding & towels, central heating, WiFi, help yourself breakfast (tea, coffee, cereal, toast).

We've had a fantastic first year offering theatre digs in Brighton! We've met some lovely people and would happily welcome back any of our guests who have stayed with us 😊
