We are so excited about this new venture that we feel passionately about. It has been a labour of love; Luigi has built the shop fittings himself from scratch, our own dogs have been our discerning food critics, our son has th

rown himself into it all willingly and we are loving our new life - working together at something we really believe in. As pet carers, we understand that the quality of the food and products you buy really matters. At Paws with a Cause, we’re committed to selling first-rate items that you and your pet are sure to love. Additionally, we aim to source and supply ethical products from companies with decent ethical credentials. We support animal welfare charities such as Dr Hadwen's Trust and Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare. As well as providing food for cats and dogs, we also cater for smaller furry animals,pond fish, wild birds, and chickens. We can often order in products for other animals, so please ask if you are not sure. We stock the following brands:
Gentle - Orijen - Acana -Barking Heads - Arden Grange - Applaws - Canagan - Symply - Eden- Edgar and Cooper - Nature’s Menu - Forthlade - Nutriment - Natural Instinct - Simpson's and Pooch and Mutt. We are a small store and cannot carry a huge stock on site, but if there is something else you need that fits within our values, give us a call and we'll try to get it for you, normally in a few days.

If you’re a Furry Friend of PawsWAC, but you live a few towns over, how can you get your paws on one of the Advent’s sweet sweet sausages?

Well if you are Bella, you get your human up early, battle through the school rush and be here ready for when the doors open!

Normally I only see Bella when I deliver her monthly supply of food, so it’s lovely to see her in the shop. She was pretty chuffed too!

The beautiful Nala popped in this morning for a harness fitting. She was very excited to find out she had won todays Advent calendar treat (well, to be honest, I think she was just incredibly excited to be in the shop!!).
Having had strict instructions from Luigi on how to get a good photo for Facebook, Nala and I joined forces in failing miserably - her with her unbridled joy and curiosity and me with my lack of timing and falling in love with her! Anyway, you can see her beauty and gorgeous personality, so job (almost) done.

On his regular Tuesday visit to pick up his food, he made sure not to hand on ceremony and got his human to the shop just as we opened!

Now we aren’t open on Sundays, but that doesn’t mean no Advent Door!

Earlier in the week, we held a closed door harness fitting for a very nervous boy. Newly rescued from Spain, Zorro isn’t quite up to meeting too many people, so we had him in early so that the place was his.

That of course means he was too early for the normal Advent treat, but he was more than happy to be our first Sunday dog, have the treat in advance and pose for his picture.

A really lovely boy, with a fair journey in front of him, and a new human in his life who thinks the world of him

The 6th December already!! The lovely, hardworking Bessie got the treats this morning. A regular visitor, Bessie has recently retired from visiting a local school, amongst other places, to spread a little bit of doggy joy, so she is a well deserved recipient. She also managed some lovely poses with the advent calendar, clearly knowing that there were goodies inside!
