One of my biggest peeves as a skinny breeder is people telling me “skinny’s are a small sickly breed”

Cute piggy fact: baby piggies are born with little nail pads that are soft, to protect mum on delivery, they then dry up within an hour or two and fall off. Horses are also born with similar, and they call their protective covers “slippers” how cute 🥰

Suns out! That means free fresh forage for the piggies! This one below is called cats ears, part of the dandelion family, and a very safe one to feed. It grows more flat to the ground, has a wavy leaf edge, and has little fluffy hairs. When in flower, they look like dandelion but taller stems with smaller flowers. The leaves, stem, flower and root are safe to feed!
