De-shedding is an important part of maintaining a healthy coat for thick coated or double coated dogs, it keep the coat healthy by removing the dead undercoat, which can cause skin irritation over time if not removed.

De-shedding also stimulates the new hair to grow leaving it looking and feeling shiny!
