Our visitors always enjoy their time with us, and it’s always a pleasure to see the excitement and enthusiasm the children bring to their day out. This week we were delighted to welcome a brand-new classroom facility to the park, designed specifically to enhance your school visit experience!

Our dedicated classroom provides a comfortable, sheltered space away from the elements, giving your group an exclusive base for the day. Whether you’re enjoying lunch, taking part in workshops, completing educational activities, or simply need somewhere to regroup between exploring the park, the classroom is yours to use throughout your visit.

We’ve also made sure the teachers and accompanying adults are looked after too, with complimentary tea and coffee available during your stay. ☕😊

With ample seating and plenty of room for groups, our new classroom makes school visits even more enjoyable, practical, and educational.

All of this produce has been grown, cared for, and harvested by our dedicated volunteers, whose hard work helps us provide a steady supply of high-quality, fresh, organic food throughout the season.

Zoo Keeper Vacancy – Bridlington Animal Park

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Zoo Keeper to join our team at Bridlington Animal Park.

Position Details:

30 hours per week

5 days per week

Permanent, year-round position (not seasonal)

Desirable Qualifications & Experience (not essential):

Minimum of 1 year's experience working within another licensed animal collection

Full UK driving licence

Practical experience working with both birds and mammals

Experience handling and caring for Category 1 animals

Knowledge and understanding of the new SSSMZP (Standards of Modern Zoo Practice) guidelines

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with excellent animal husbandry skills, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for animal welfare and conservation.

🌱 Grounds Maintenance Volunteers Wanted 🌱

This year we have taken on one of our biggest projects yet – growing as much of our own animal feed as possible right here at the zoo. Thanks to a lot of hard work, our polytunnel is already full of vegetables and produce that will help feed many of our animals throughout the year.

As we've shared photos and updates on this project, many people have asked whether we are looking for volunteers to help. Until now, we've held off, but the time has come to expand our team!

We are now looking for enthusiastic volunteers aged 16 and over to assist with our grounds maintenance and horticulture work. Tasks may include:

🌿 Growing and caring for vegetables and plants
🚜 General grounds maintenance
🌱 Weeding, planting, and watering
✂️ Hedge trimming and tidying
🚜 Mowing and strimming
🍃 Seasonal garden and outdoor projects
🐾 Helping us create and maintain a great environment for both our animals and visitors

Whether you have experience in gardening and grounds work or simply enjoy being outdoors and would like to support the zoo, we'd love to hear from you.

Unfortunately, there will be no bird flying display this weekend.

This is due to unforeseen staffing circumstances, as both of our dedicated bird handlers are unavailable. Richelle is attending a family wedding, while Paul is currently at the very end of his cancer treatment journey and is taking some well-deserved time to focus on his recovery.

We know that our bird flying display is a highlight of many visitors' days, and we're sorry for any disappointment this may cause. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time.

The good news is that there is still plenty to see, do, and experience around the park! You'll be able to meet our amazing animals, enjoy our daily activities, explore the grounds, and make the most of everything else we have to offer.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you and hope Paul will be back flying the birds very soon as he completes his treatment.
