Are your kids enjoying the summer holidays too? ☀️🐾

Our four-legged kids certainly are! They’ve been having lots of fun playing with their wonderful handmade toys, lovingly made by our amazing volunteer, Wendy. ❤️

It’s lovely to see how much happiness something so simple can bring — wagging tails, playful feet and plenty of excited faces! 🐶🐾

A huge thank you to Wendy for giving her time and creativity to make these special toys for them. They are definitely getting the hoof-up seal of approval! 🧸💕

We hope all your two-legged and four-legged family members are making the most of the summer holidays too. ☀️

☔ BRAVE THE WEATHER TODAY! ☔

The forecast may be looking a little wet today, but we’re not going to let a bit of rain dampen our spirits! 🌧️💪

We’ll still be doing our very best to go ahead with our talks, activities and interactions, so pop on your waterproofs, grab your brollies and come along for a great day with us.

And if you need a little break from the weather, we’ve got you covered! We have an indoor picnic area where you can sit, warm up and enjoy your lunch in the dry.

Even better, we have a lovely lady here selling amazing freshly made coffee and delicious cakes ☕🍰 — the perfect way to warm up and treat yourself on a slightly soggy day!

So please don’t let the weather put you off. There’s still plenty to see, do and enjoy, and we’d love to welcome you.

🌧️ A little rain never stopped a great day out!

🐾 Have you seen our cats yet at Bridlington Animal Park? 🐾

There are some fantastic feline faces waiting to meet you! 😻

Our current cat residents include:

🐆 Rusty-spotted cats – one of the smallest wild cat species in the world, but packed with personality!

🐾 Servals – striking African cats famous for their incredibly long legs, huge ears and impressive jumping ability.

🌿 Jaguarundis – unusual and fascinating cats from the Americas, with their long bodies, short legs and distinctive appearance.

And the best part? They’re all out on public display, giving visitors the chance to see these amazing species right here at Bridlington Animal Park.

But we’re not stopping there…

👀 More cats are coming soon!

We’re continuing to grow our collection, with some exciting new feline arrivals planned for the future. Keep watching our page because we’ll be revealing more when the time is right!

🐾 Come along, explore the park and see how many of our cats you can spot.

Have you seen them all yet?

🌿 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE VOLUNTEERS🌿

Do you love being outdoors? Are you interested in gardening, horticulture or grounds maintenance? We’d love to hear from you!

Here at Bridlington Animal Park, we’re looking for enthusiastic people to join our friendly community of volunteers and help us keep the park looking its best. 🐾🌱

Whether you have some spare time at the weekend, are enjoying retirement and looking for a rewarding way to stay active, are studying horticulture at college and would like some hands-on experience, or simply enjoy gardening and being outdoors, this could be a great opportunity for you.

As a Grounds Maintenance Volunteer, you could get involved with a variety of jobs around the park, including:

🌱 Mowing and maintaining lawns
🍂 Clearing paths, leaves and outdoor areas
🌿 General gardening and grounds maintenance
🥕 Growing fruit and vegetables to help provide fresh food for our animals
🌻 Helping us develop and care for planted areas around the park
🐾 Keeping our outdoor spaces welcoming for both our animals and visitors

You don’t need to be an expert — enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to get stuck in are what matter most. If you already have gardening or horticultural knowledge, that’s fantastic too!

It’s a lovely opportunity to spend time outdoors, meet new people, learn and share skills, stay active and make a genuine contribution to Bridlington Animal Park and the animals in our care.

Interested in joining us?

📩 Send us a message to find out more about becoming a Grounds Maintenance Volunteer.

We’d love to welcome you to the team! 🌿🐾
