☀️🐾 Hot weather is here, but there’s no need to panic — just prepare. 💚

Dogs are amazing at telling us when they’re uncomfortable, and with a little extra care, most heat-related issues can be prevented. Shade, fresh water, avoiding midday walks, and knowing your dog’s limits can make all the difference. 🌿💧

Every pup is different — some love sunbathing, some need frequent cool-down breaks, and some breeds need a little extra support in the heat. The most important thing? Paying attention to *your* dog. 🐶✨

☀️🐾 The WagaMoo pack have been making the most of the warm weather with some cooling, dog-friendly enrichment!

From splashing around in the paddling pool hunting for crunchy carrots 🥕💦 to relaxing in the shade on cooling mats with their own little umbrellas and frozen treats 🍦⛱️ — it’s all about keeping tails wagging safely in the sunshine.

We always make sure the dogs have plenty of fresh water, shaded chill-out spots, and fun ways to stay cool while still enjoying playtime with their friends 🐶💛

☀️🐾 HEATWAVE REMINDER 🐾☀️

Our dogs rely on us to keep them safe in this weather 💚

Even when they still want to play or walk, the heat can become dangerous very quickly.

A few simple things can make a huge difference:

💧 Keep fresh, cool water available at all times
🌳 Make sure they always have access to shade
🌀 Keep air moving with fans or open windows
🧊 Try cooling mats, damp towels, paddling pools, frozen treats, or frozen Kongs
🌅 Save walks for early mornings or late evenings
🐾 Check pavements with your hand first — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them

Dogs don’t sweat like we do, which means overheating can happen fast. Heatstroke is serious and can become life-threatening very quickly.

This weather is perfect for slow days, cuddles, enrichment games indoors, and plenty of naps in the cool 💤🐶

Please keep your pups safe, hydrated, and comfortable during the heatwave.
