I've just received the loveliest message off a friend of mine who I used to work with when I lived in Newbury. She had been showing her 7 year old daughter the portraits I've completed as she loves art. Apparently her little girl was particularly taken by the portrait of 'Saffy' as you can see two people in the dogs eye. While my friend was busy working from home this morning, her daughter brought her a picture she had been working on of her very own pet portrait including the reflection of two people in the dogs eye. So sweet! I just love it and will be printing it out to go up on the wall in my office :D Thank you Steph Curtis

The beautiful Saffy ❤️ She was commissioned as a memorial portrait for her owner. I am so grateful to have been asked to draw this gorgeous girl. It's a lovely sized portrait on 12 x 12 pastelmat paper. Her eye was looking up in the original photo, so a reference photo was used to correct this. Saffy will be missed by many people, not just her owners. She was 'the shop dog' and went to everyday. Customers loved seeing Saffy while they were there! I hope you all like the portrait 😊❤️

This eye has so much hidden meaning behind it. The beautiful Saffy was so poorly her owners had to say goodbye to her a couple of weeks ago. This photo was the last one that was taken of her, and you can see 2 people inside the eye, her loving owners there with her till the end 😢. Feeling very priviledged to have been asked to draw this portrait. It has now been gifted so I can share some of the progress photos with you, before finally showing you the completed portrait!
