Meet Bella! 🐾🐶
This lovely English Springer Spaniel came in to see us with a poorly paw, and we couldn't get over how gorgeous her fringe is! 💇♀️✨
Luckily, our check showed no sneaky grass seeds trapped inside her paw! 🌾 While she's in the clear there, Bella does need to rock the "cone of shame" for a few days to keep her from licking so her paw can heal quickly, sorry, Bella! 🩺🐶
⚠️ Grass Seed Alert: Summer grass seeds are shaped like tiny darts with backward-facing barbs. Once caught in fur, they can easily burrow into the skin between toes or enter ears and eyes.
Prevention Tips:
🐾 Check paws, ears, and armpits thoroughly after every walk through tall grass.
✂️ Keep the hair around their paws and toes trimmed short during summer months.
🌾 Try to avoid walking through areas with high, dry grass seeds whenever possible.
Bella was such a brave, sweet patient throughout her checkup, wearing her cone like an absolute champion. Wishing you a super speedy recovery, beautiful Bella! ❤️🐾
