This post comes from a place of care for dogs and their welfare 🐾 it’s especially important as we head towards the Summer Holidays and people are looking for dog care ( Top Tip: Do not leave it to the last minute )

Choosing someone to look after your dog is a huge act of trust, and many owners don’t realise that professional dog boarders in the UK should be licensed and inspected by their local council.

Licensing isn’t “just paperwork” — it exists to help ensure dogs are being cared for safely, responsibly and in suitable environments.

When a boarder operates without a licence, there may be:
• No welfare inspections
• No checks on safety standards
• No requirements for insurance or emergency procedures
• No oversight on dog numbers or suitability of the environment

And sadly, if something goes wrong, it’s often the dogs that suffer most.

Please always ask to see a licence before leaving your dog with any boarder ❤️

A responsible, professional boarder should never have an issue showing it.

Say hello to our newest team member, Jo! Jo will be with me most weekdays so you’ll likely see her at drop off or pick up and your dogs will be getting to know her very well. She’s a true dog lover with three Frenchies of her own and a serious weakness for goofy, cuddly, slightly chaotic little characters. She’s joining us as we grow back to full capacity, and we’re so excited to have her on board 🐶

As most of you know, I’m now on Maternity leave and will be gradually resuming dog care with existing bookings from late March.
