Second Hand Riding clothing WANTED for our SWAP SHOP!
Bring along your children’s out-grown or unwanted or unused riding gear to be offered up for SWAP in our Second Hand shop section. All items in the SWAP SHOP can be picked up for free; and if you have something outgrown that you can offer back to the shop then even better!
This is a Not-For-Profit organisation and only intended to help riders to get kitted out for riding in a simple and affordable way so any items given for swap will be donations only and not be bought from the person handing them over.
Items for swap can include Jodhpurs, boots, jackets, shirts, jumpers, coats, body protectors, hat silks, riding gloves and any other miscellaneous riding attire items.
It cannot include used riding hats.

Sticky W**d for Horses 🐴
Also known as Sticky W***y, Clivers, Goose Grass or Cleavers (Galium aparine). This is a very useful 'w**d' and most horses love the taste. Sticky w**d supports the lymphatic system and is a diuretic. This means that it is particularly good for flushing out swellings and inflammation. It is good for allergies, for supporting the liver and kidneys and cleanses the blood.

Pick a large bunch and offer it to your horses 2 or 3 times a week. It is particularly good for reducing leg swelling when horses are stabled and can help horses with swollen lymph glands due to allergy. It is very nutritious and is a good way to naturally supplement the diet if your horse is on limited grazing.

If you think your horse is a little too enthusiastic about eating Sticky W**d it may indicate an underlying condition. A horse I bought many years ago seemed to actively seek it out when I first bought her. It turned out she had liver issues and was probably craving the Clivers because she knew they were good for her!...

Few dates for the diary!

I’ll be taking a few days off this weekend (12-14th) so sadly not available for any last minute animal sitting.

Also I will be away from the 12-14th of August at Pembroke Show!

This month is fairly booked up and next month is quickly filling up too! 🐕 🐴 🐄

FULL LOAN - TO MOVE YARDS!

Arthur is a much loved member of the family. He’s full of personality and always up to something! Thinks himself more of a dog/giant teddy than a horse.

He’s recently been brought back into work after a break due to previous owner having a baby.

Hacks out alone/company. Doesn’t heat up on grass. Not phased by traffic at all.

Basic flatwork established. Can be lazy jumping so needs getting after. But with practice he will be a super star!

He needs an experienced home as he does need to be kept in check on the ground. He does intrude on personal space and needs to remember to respect this. NEVER bites or kicks!

Good with farrier/bath/groom
Can be stubborn to load so needs knowledgable loner

Would suit a gutsy child/small teenager to go have a lot of fun on. Has done lead rein for my children (ages 2 & 3) and in previous home.

All homes will be thoroughly checked but I’m not a “can I visit every week” type!

Initial 6 month loan agreement - contract to be signed - own insurance to be taken out - after 6 months and everyone is happy loan agreement can continue

** only on loan due to my two little ones needing to just plod, and this pony is wasted doing that
