Equine Amigo

Equine Amigo Equine Amigo offers compassionate, science-based training to help horses and owners build calm, confident partnerships.

With 15+ years of experience, Fernando provides ethical, tailored support across the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas. With over 15 years of experience working with horses across the UK and Europe, Equine Amigo was founded by Fernando Lozano in 2016 to provide professional and compassionate equine training throughout Norfolk and Suffolk. Since then, we’ve helped countless horses and their owne

rs overcome behavioural challenges, improve communication, and build stronger partnerships. From systematically desensitising horses to help them feel safe around people, to developing calm, confident and responsive riding – often completely bitless – our goal is always to create understanding and trust between horse and human. By appropriately applying Learning Theory, Equine Amigo aims to educate both horses and owners in an ethical and effective way – focusing on clear communication, mutual respect, and training methods that are far removed from dominance and punishment. After several successful years based in East Anglia, Fernando has now relocated to the Forest of Dean, drawn by its natural beauty and strong equestrian community. From this new base, Equine Amigo continues to offer training and behavioural support throughout the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas, helping horses and owners build confident, harmonious relationships. At Equine Amigo, we believe every horse has a story – and with the right guidance, patience and respect, every partnership can thrive.

🐴 Help keep Toby at Hollytree Track System !

Many of you may know that I have had the pleasure of working with Toby over the last two years, watching him grow in confidence has been one of those experiences that reminds you exactly why you do this work. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, Toby is having to be rehomed, and Liz at Hollytree has opened her heart to keep him there alongside Panda, so he stays in an environment where he is truly understood and cared for.

All Liz needs is 300 subscribers to her Facebook channel at just £1.79/month to make it happen, so this really is within reach!

As one of Liz's collaborating businesses, Equine Amigo is offering an exclusive 10% discount on sessions to all Hollytree subscribers, and there are brilliant discounts from other fantastic equine brands too, including:

🌿 Natural Horse Supplies
🐎 Urban Horse
📖 Happy Trackin' Magazine
🌾 Nibbleze
👜 Hayley's Horseware
🧠 Equisentient Coaching

For £1.79 a month you get behind-the-scenes content, honest updates, exclusive discount codes, and you help Toby stay home.

👉 Head over to Hollytree Track System on Facebook and hit Subscribe. It takes seconds and it truly makes a difference.
Let's get Toby to 300. 🐴💜

20K FOLLOWERS!! 🥳😱🤯

To celebrate, I’m launching the Hollytree Subscription — just £1.79/month ☺️

Subscribers will get:
• More behind-the-scenes content
• Honest updates on problem-solving & maintenance
• Exclusive product/collab discount codes

This idea came after our lovely livery Merryn had to put Toby up for sale. My family and I have decided that if enough of you subscribe over the next month, we’ll be able to keep him as part of Hollytree 🥹

With 20k followers, we only need 1–2% of you to make it happen. And even if we don’t quite get there, your support will help keep Hollytree sustainable and give us more flexibility to bring new ideas and content to share with you ☺️

So tell me:
• What would you love to see more of from us?
• Which brands or creators would make great collabs? Not just UK-based!

Big shout out to my amazing collaborators Natural Horse Supplies, Urban Horse, Happy Trackin' Magazine and now, Nibbleze!

What a great opportunity for the right candidate.

Donkey pregnancies are typically longer than those seen in horses, but that's not the only interesting fact about donkey motherhood! 🍼

Mares even have the ability to 'wait' or delay giving birth - often understood to be linked to their need for security and privacy. Most commonly, foals are born at night, protected from predators by the cover of darkness.

When driving near horses, your actions can save lives. 🐎

Slow right down, give plenty of space, and be ready to stop.
