The Darling Buds of Fray The Darling Buds of Fray are now closed for Home Boarding and Daycare. We also love cats and horses and guinea pigs and allsorts so hoping your dog does too.

We are Mel, Gary and Collette and we love dogs and we want them to be happy whilst you are away on holiday or even just for a long day whilst you are out. We have a large fenced in garden and are surrounded by fields and country walks. Gemma is our own yellow labrador retriever and loves to play. She's very good with other dogs and the recent youngsters have kept her very active. Choo is the resident semi feral cat. RIP Wanda

Bring your dog and join the fun at the 3‑Legged Race Dog Show on Finchingfield Village Green — back by popular demand after last year’s brilliant turnout.

We’re delighted to announce the Dog Show will be hosted by Pristine Paws, Finchingfield and judged by Sam from Danaher.

Dog Show categories:-
- Junior Dog Handler
- Best Dressed Dog
- Waggiest Tail
- Musical Sit
- Best Condition

Each category winner will earn a spot in Best in Show — where the waggiest, smartest, sassiest stars go paw-to-paw for the top-dog title. Who’ll bound onto the podium and take the crown this year?

When: Sunday 13 September 2026 (Dog Show 1:15pm)
Register: on the day from 12 noon (entries close 1:05pm)
Price: £2 entry or 3 categories for £5
Where: Finchingfield Village Green (top green)

Whether you’re entering or cheering from the side-lines, it’s a fantastic family afternoon out — and a great chance to support the 3‑Legged Race.

Another little girl has made her way to heaven to join the others that we have sadly lost.
What can I say about Nellie? She loved all the other doggies; they just didn’t all love her back!
She was bolshy, playful, stubborn but just so loveable with that funny little face.
Gemma, Eric, Minnie, Maisie, Roxy and others will welcome her ‘up there’ and the play will begin. Hope there’s a paddling pool.
