The lovely Coco is learning to flick her toes in the trot work! It’s such a joy to feel her progress and strengthen. A nice day out to come home with two 2nds.
Always feeling so grateful to have found this awesome mare and to have such a great team of friends and family helping us along the way.

Yesterday I dusted off the jumping cobwebs and took Coco for a little bit of fun at .uk for a play round their XC course. Although we have no ambitions with jumping competitively, it’s a really nice change for both of us and keeps the mind fresh and helps with more muscular development

Another super day competing, coming home with a 1st and a 2nd despite loosing a shoe just before we turned down the centre line. Some lovely comments from the judge and some perceptive ones to give us some homework!
Thank you to for your groom/ husband duties and of course my super trainer who had an equally successful day!

Coco was fantastic at our first competition coming home with two red ribbons on 75.5% and a 72.2%. We’ve taken our time to get ready for this and it certainly was worth it! Lots of positive comments from the judges, and as always some things to work on…
Thank you to my mother for playing groom for the day and of course a big thank you to my friend and trainer for all you’ve helped us with. Feels great to be out competing at long last!

To Vita 🥂💕 thank you for being the most wonderful mare. It’s taken me a while to write this.
A few weeks ago I woke up to every horse persons worst nightmare. My absolute world dead in the field. An aneurysm. Something totally unavoidable. She was probably the healthiest she’d ever been. Living out in the field being fed and loved every day.
She had fetlock surgery in April to remove a small bone chip, she had gone the all the rehabbing and box rest. The hard part was done and she was enjoying being a horse living her best life relaxing in a field and getting ready to start work.
I am absolutely heartbroken. We had so much future together, she had so much intelligence and potential. It feels so unfair on both of us. She was my absolute world, anyone who knew us understood that. A small feisty little mare with the biggest heart. Yes there were moments when we disagreed but never for one minute did I feel as if we weren’t on the same team. You can’t ask for more from a mare that’s on your side - it’s honestly the best feeling in the world. Horse and rider working together as one. We’d gone through so much together and always came out the other side with respect and love for one another.
Thank you Vita for all you have taught and given me. I’m so grateful that our lives crossed and I’m devastated that we didn’t have longer together.

Very proud of Otto today at his second ever competition and only 0.68 difference between second place. It was a massive improvement from his first competition. Although he isn’t an explosive horse he did get huge stage fright at his first competition and dropped totally behind me. So today we made a couple of changes to our warm up and preparation which seemed to have worked. He definitely went down the centre line feeling a far more confident and consistent horse. Now to get him more confident showing off his walk. Super result and very proud of his progression.
