Today is the last day of our school holiday programme and what a fun and busy summer we have all had 🐴 next week is the first week of term and we are excited to get our BHS changing life through horses programme re stated, we still have some spaces available on a Friday and a Tuesday.
The CLTH Programme is perfect for any child that is home schooled or struggling in full time education as it can be used as a alternative provision. This carefully structured programme, learning to care for and, if they wish, ride horses, develops confidence, communication, teamwork, responsibility and relationships, leading to a true sense of personal achievement. The course includes basic horse care and riding and has six generic learning strands going through it: communication, confidence, teamwork, Building relationships, responsibility, perseverance and personal achievement. The learning is broken down into ‘Personal development qualifications- entry level, level 1 and level 2, Explorer awards- Bronze & Sliver and the original ‘Achieve Awards’—10 for Stable Management and 6 for Riding, the achievement of each is recognised by a BHS certificate, so can be highly motivating.
Many of our current students do get funding through various sources including their local council, school and Charity donations.
