Therapaws Canine Rehabilitation Centre is a state-of-the-art facility conveniently located in Bracknell, Berkshire. Our large hydrotherapy pool allows one or two hydrotherapists to be in the water with your dog to ensure the optimal swim for rehabilitation purposes. We also offer physiotherapy and myotherapy as part of your dog's rehabilitation and long-term managment program where required. We ha

ve four hydrotherapists working at Therapaws, to optimise your dog's experience with us. In addition, we offer fitness swims for healthy dogs to maintain or improve their fitness, and also have a weight loss program for the podgy pooch! As a professional rehabilitation organisation, we require veterinary approval from your regular vet prior to any therapy taking place, and we keep your regular vet regularly updated with your dog's progress. Oh so Handsome Jake 🩵

Jake recently had his 13th birthday 🎈
He’s been attending Therapaws for swimming hydrotherapy for his hip dysplasia since 2018!

He maybe getting older which means the odd power nap during his sessions, but he sure still loves his frisbee 🥏

Some of the reasons why hydrotherapy is beneficial for hip dysplasia dogs:

🐶 Reduced pressure on the joints, non weight-bearing exercise making movement easier
🐶 Builds essential muscle strength for support and stability

Gorgeous Dolly has T3-L3 myelopathy, and in Jan 2024 she had a T12-L1 hmmilaminectomy surgery.

She has attended nearly 100 sessions with us, being both physiotherapy and underwater treadmill treatments.

She may be small but has a big personality, and she’s a real flirt 🥰

Luna the Lunatic 💗

At the age of 12, Luna has been attending Therapaws weekly for 6 years, at a total of 296 sessions.

She has been a right hindlimb amputee since 2019 due to a cancerous tumour. She adores her swimming and has become very vocal in telling us and her owner, her excitement.

Luna will continue attending long term for the foreseeable future. 🫧🥰

Bernie enjoying his 56th treadmill session with us.

He’s a 9 year old, golden doodle who has had bilateral TPLO surgery back in 2023/2024. He comes to maintain his overall mobility and flexibility through his joints to keep him fit and active, while monitoring for signs of arthritis as he gets older 💛
