With exceptional temperatures predicted to continue for the next few days, it’s important not to forget our feline friends.

Blessed with fur coats, even just a few degrees increase in ambient temperature can be a struggle for them.

Knowing what to look out for, and how to keep them cooler in this weather can make the world of difference to our muggy moggies.

I think I’d like to be a cat…being served tuna and mackerel on fine bone china. After lunch maybe a spot of lounging around, in the sun, watching the wildlife in the garden, whilst people bring me treats and catnip, Can’t be bad huh?

The summer holidays are just around the corner and approaching fast.

We still have some availability for summer 2026 but we are booking up fast and we hate disappointing people so please don’t hit the snooze button on arranging your cat’s stay at the area’s only luxury cattery. Booking as far in advance as you can guarantees your cabin at The Burrow.

The beautiful Frog’s chorus at The Burrow Cat Cabins last night at about 9pm.

The wildlife pond is situated right in front of our cabins and provides important enrichment and interest for our guests happiness and welfare.

We very lucky that we have a wealth of wildlife visitors, especially with the frogs heralding the start of warmer weather.

We only have a few spaces left over the Easter break, so if you were thinking about getting away please don’t delay.

We have something to celebrate….

We’ve been awarded our 5* star animal activities license for the next 3 years!

It’s a testament to the hard work we’ve put in and the standard of care and accommodation that we offer. We’re one of only a few in the county to achieve this, and the only one that is a) UPVC and b)exceeds the optional welfare standards in all areas.

Looking forward to seeing how many of you we can meet in the next 3 years!

We’ve been a bit quiet on here, with our lovely Rhianna moving to London to start her next adventure I’m having to learn a whole new social media skill set 🤣

We’ve been utterly spoilt this week, having the pleasure of looking after these lovelies.
