ow call a ‘side-hustle’, a way to generate extra income alongside our dairy herd and arable farm. Fast forward 30 years, and we now have a beloved business making natural hay products for a variety of pets with an incredible team led by Chris, his son, Will Peel-Yates and wife Liz. From our hay to our straw, bedding, and 'Nibbley Bit' herbs - our mission is to make the best quality pet products here at the farm (or through our trusted local farmer network) with the least impact on our planet and the environment.

Our pellets aren’t like the ones that sit around gathering dust on shop shelves.

From the start, it mattered to us that they were fresh, and so they come straight from fields here in Northamptonshire!

Clean up the baler with us! ✨🌾

After a busy harvest, it’s time to give our baler some well-deserved TLC 💪❤️

First up: clearing out all the straw/hay that’s collected. Leaving it there can cause rust, corrosion, and even damage over time. A little love now goes a long way toward keeping our baler running smoothly for years to come! 🧹 

Next comes a generous greasing to keep every part moving just as it should 🛠️

Finally, the baler is tucked away with the rest of the machinery, patiently waiting for next year’s harvest 🚜

A clean, well looked after baler means better hay and straw for your little ones. Happy pets starts with a healthy harvest 🌱💚

A super simple enrichment treat your little ones will love! 💚

👉 Mash a banana
👉 Dip willow sticks in it
👉 Roll in forage
👉 Leave to dry for 1–2 hours

That’s it! ✨

Not only are they packed with nutrients and goodness, but the willow sticks help keep tiny teeth in shape, while the foraging fun keeps little brains busy.

Green Oat Hay makes a brilliant treat for guinea pigs because:
