ow call a ‘side-hustle’, a way to generate extra income alongside our dairy herd and arable farm. Fast forward 30 years, and we now have a beloved business making natural hay products for a variety of pets with an incredible team led by Chris, his son, Will Peel-Yates and wife Liz. From our hay to our straw, bedding, and 'Nibbley Bit' herbs - our mission is to make the best quality pet products here at the farm (or through our trusted local farmer network) with the least impact on our planet and the environment.

When it’s this warm, no one wants to be zooming around burning extra energy. One great way to keep your little ones busy during warmer weather is by sprinkling dandelion roots around their home for them to sniff out and forage for.

First Aid for all at Pillow Wad ⛑️💚

Last week, the team completed an Emergency First Aid at Work course with the brilliant Jen at Thames Training.

Every 3 years we refresh our training, learning what to do in all kinds of emergencies - both in and outside of work - from minor burns to cardiac arrest and everything in between.

A really great day full of learning, teamwork, and plenty of useful reminders. Hopefully we never need to use it, but it’s so important to know what to do if the time ever comes. 💚

As our Health & Safety And Training Manager, he helps guide the team, is a whizz on the forklift, keeps on top of health & safety, and makes sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently ✨

Outside of work, Ricky is a proud grandad to 8 wonderful grandchildren and the family’s go-to DIY expert 🔨
