Great first session with Percy today! 🐾

He’s an absolute cracker of a dog — full of personality and enthusiasm, but just gets a little too excited around other dogs. Today we focused on helping him with disengagement and reducing fixation, and he made some brilliant progress. 🌟

Next step? Percy’s joining our UK Sniffer Dogs Beginners course next Sunday! 👃🕵️‍♂️ Scent detection is a fantastic outlet for dogs like Percy — it encourages calm focus, lowers arousal levels, and can have a hugely positive impact on behaviour.

Exciting news! Our FREE Pre-Vaccination Puppy Play Party is happening next Wednesday, 11th June at 6:30 PM in Bourne End.

This 45-minute session is perfect for puppies aged 8–16 weeks (must have had their first vaccination) and is designed to support them during their vital socialisation period.

What to Expect:
• Safe and structured puppy play
• Guidance on positive socialisation
• Confidence-building games
• Basic care and health tips
• Solutions to common puppy problems (biting, toilet training & more)
• Introduction to training cues like sit, focus, and recall

Led by experienced, force-free trainers in a sterilised indoor facility, we ensure a calm and positive experience for every pup.

A huge well done to all our amazing teams who graduated from Grade 3, Grade 2, and our Grade 1 Puppy Class this term! 🐾💫

You’ve all worked so hard, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to teach you. Watching your progress each week has been so rewarding – we’re so proud of every single one of you! 💛

Four years ago today… we stepped into the Dragon’s Den!
One of the scariest, yet most exciting experiences of our business journey so far.

We didn’t walk away with investment, but what we did take away was invaluable advice, a huge confidence boost, and a whole lot of pride in what we do. The Dragons gave us honest, constructive feedback that we truly took on board – and it’s helped shape the direction of UK Sniffer Dogs ever since.

A special shout-out has to go to our incredible demo team on the day – Chili, our super sniffer dog, and her fantastic handler Rachel. The pressure was high, the cameras were rolling, and they absolutely smashed it, showing the world just how amazing scent detection for pet dogs can be. We couldn’t have done it without them.

What an experience. One we’ll never forget!

My name is Jamie, and I am the founder of Chorleywood Dog Training, Berkhamsted Dog Training, and UK Sniffer Dogs.

With my wife Gemma, we have have successfully been running our dog training company for pet dogs in Hertfordshire for many years. We are passionate about the benefits of Scentwork for dogs, and owners, and set up UK Sniffer Dogs in 2018.

Our Scentwork courses for instructors are run throughout the UK, however we also offer online courses from our UK Sniffer Dogs website.
