Based in Bovey Tracey, Paws and Tors offers professional dog walking for Bovey and the surrounding areas, including the Teign Valley, Dunsford, Ashburton, Widecombe, and locations within a small surrounding radius.

We currently have one space available for a friendly, sociable dog to join our lovely small group on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Hot Weather & Happy Paws – How Paws and Tors Keep Dogs Safe in the Heat!

At Paws and Tors, your dog’s safety and comfort always come first – especially when the temperatures start to rise.

Here's how we carefully manage walks during warm weather:

Morning Walks on the Moor
We head out early to the cooler, breezier areas near the moor – perfect for a safe and enriching walk before the day heats up.

Afternoon Adventures in the Shade
For midday and afternoon walks, I choose shaded, wooded spots with access to fresh streams and rivers, so pups can stay cool, splash, and enjoy nature without overheating.

Heat Threshold
If the temperature hits 26°C or higher, I won’t risk a full walk. Instead, I’ll switch to home visits – giving your dog a toilet break, refreshment, and some cuddles indoors or in the garden.

Pavement Protection
Dogs are picked up directly from your doorstep, so they’re not exposed to hot pavements for long – just a quick hop into the cool car!

Your dog’s wellbeing is my top priority. If it’s too hot for paws, it’s time for plan B – because comfort, safety, and tail wags matter most.

Paws and Tors has spaces available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for dogs to join our small, well-balanced walking group.
We're especially looking for pups in or near Bovey Tracey or along the Teign Valley (including Dunsford)—perfect if you’re local and want your dog to enjoy regular, relaxed outings.

Looking for 2 friendly dogs to join our Monday, Wednesday and Friday adventure walks in the Teign Valley!

Do you have a dog who could do with more fun, freedom, and company during the week?

I’m a local, experienced dog walker based in Bovey Tracey, and I currently have space for 1 or 2 sociable dogs to join our calm, respectful group walks on Mondays and Fridays.

Pick-up and drop-off included (Bovey + small radius or within the Teignvalley.)

Small group walks in the beautiful Teign Valley

Perfect for friendly dogs who enjoy company, enrichment, and a change of scenery

Dogs on these walks are well-socialised, gentle, and enjoy exploring as a group
