IT’S ALL PLAIN & SIMPLE 🙈

We can only apologise for the rather bland packaging we are dispatching our products in at the moment.
In recent weeks we have utilised our entire spring stock of sacks and as our suppliers have ceased printing during the current lockdown period, we are somewhat forced to use plain, white bags.
We guarantee all of our products are still the same top quality, certified seeds mixed, packed and dispatched to order (from fresh seed stocks), they just temporarily look a little less exciting on arrival.
Normal service will resume ASAP.

We are currently Coronavirus free and implementing a policy of minimum contact with delivery/collection drivers and customers.
We would kindly request NO COLLECTIONS from our warehouse address until further notice.
We will do everything we can to deliver locally either via our own vehicles (outside of usual business hours) or via our carrier network.

We were all so busy in 2019 that our page was somewhat over looked. This year we are attempting to reach out with more information via social media
Craig is taking on the mammoth task of keeping you all up to date with the goings on here at the store.
All new grass seed stocks have arrived and wild flowers will be here very soon. We are pretty much set for the spring. All we need now is some warm, settled weather to get things going.

Although the spring seed sowing season is nearly behind us (in the southern counties at least) there remains an opportunity to successfully establish both amenity and agricultural grasses across the UK.
With the much needed recent rainfall - now is the time to sow.
Seeds should be mixed in with a loose topsoil (tilth) by harrow or rake before being firmed together by rolling or tamping down with a rake or any means to squeeze the seeds into 'INTIMATE CONTACT WITH THE SEEDBED'.
Moisture transfer between the soil and the seed is the most important aspect to a successful result. Seeds simply thrown on to a hard or dry surface generally only germinate after a prolonged period of wet weather, even with additional irrigation.
With temperatures set to rise over the coming days a little irrigation on properly sown lawns or landscaped areas (to keep the soil damp) may help speed up germination and establishment.

This is currently causing the delay of container deliveries to wholesale seed houses. Whilst we do not yet foresee any stock issues, please order Agricultural and Equine seed mixtures early to avoid any possible disruption to seeding or overseeding plans.

With ongoing talks and the uncertainty over an actual exit deal, the entire seed trade is currently in the process of preparing for a no deal exit on March 29th.
This will have very little effect on what we do and the products we supply; other than perhaps some changes in product labelling and the availability of the more obscure grass varieties currently produced and packaged in Europe.
Wholesale seed houses are well stocked. Seed movement from the EU to the UK will be slower as (presumably) border checks of inbound goods are made but the movement of grass seeds will still take place.
If there are any unforeseen complications that come to light, we will update you asap
